Frampaars, meaning purple raspberry, is the sister beer to Framrood (red raspberry). This is a blend of our American Lambic averaging 2 years and then aged on purple raspberries for 3 months. It has been conditioning for nearly 6 months.

This beer was one of my top beers of 2015, along with Fox and the Grapes. Levi is brilliant in the science and sophistication of world class patient wild beers. First.. This beer wafted of rich and natural raspberries. You could even see a few flakes. The color was of communion liquid. The taste was nirvana. There was no doubt that the aging, liquid alchemy, and natural favors reigned supreme in this jewel. I am proud to have an upper Midwest availability to brilliant wild beer craftsmanship as this.

750ml bottle at share.. Reddish amber pour, tight ring of head. Fruity aroma, berries and cherries. Taste is a dry tartness, sour cherry, strawberry.. Tartness grows with the taste, along with a medium pucker and a gum drying finish. Solid throughout.

Cellared bottle. Dark passionate purple pour with a white ring and beautiful webbing. Aromas of jammy raspberry with lush fruitiness and contrasting seeds meet lambic spon and barnyard funk, oak, flowers and a touch of supporting currant. Incredible and potent nose! Taste follows suit, sourness is large here though, cutting funk is uplifting, get hints of herbal leaves and black pepper near the finish. Feel is on the more heavily fruited side of the lambic style spectrum, plenty sour and funky, oak and fruit contribute beautifully too. Each sip rewards the drinker with shifting textures, age did well to cut the edge a bit. An amazing beer

Vintage 2017. Full, rich jammy nose with almond notes. Incredibly well-balanced with right amount of acidity and raspberries. Unlike most American spontaneously fermented beers, this is balanced and not acid-forward. I'd stack this up against Belgian equivalents.

750ml bottle poured into a tulip

Pours a deep amber/purple color with a one-finger creamy pink head that has good retention. Smells of tart acidic vinegar, fresh squeezed raspberries, raspberry jam, cracked pepper, wet oak and floral yeast. Tastes of fresh raspberry puree, fruity vinegar, lemon juice, peppery yeast, oaky tannins, just a hint of funk at the finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel and a crisp finish. Pure raspberry jam, delicious
