Had on tap. Would put more into lambic than AWA but all well. The aromas were wonderful, full of apricot, with accents of belgian yeast, grass and light fruits like lemon, along with some floral notes. Look was little cloudy but cleared up quick. Just felt like a finely crafted ale, not trying to overwhelm the palate, just soft and delicious

750ml bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow-orange body, one finger white head, short retention, fair bit of lacing. Smell is underripe, fresh and crisp apricot and stone fruit flesh, moderate acetic acidity, minimal grain, touch of lactate as well. Flavour is a moderately hefty apricot flavour, very enjoyable with a moderate acetic and mild lactic acidity; befitting the base Meerts beer. Trace oak. Mouthfeel is lighter medium bodied, good carbonation, mild apricot fruit sweetness on the finish, moderately acetic. One of the better fruited Meerts variants; the only one I think I prefer is the Peach and Pluot variant; this is a very nice expression of apricot in a straightforward sour beer.

Hazy pale gold-yellow with a moderate fuzzy white head settling to a creamy film and thick collar.

This is quite sour but that's mitigated by the soft, fluffy body and mild farmhouse funk. The apricot is floral and fruity of stone fruit beauty--it's full on super peach on the nose and wildly herbal and puckeringly tingly on the palate with a semi-dry finish.

Poured into a small glass.

Very, very hazy and effervescent. A dull, but rather pretty yellow.

Smells simultaneously very dry, lightly sour, and bursting with fresh apricots. If this is the lambic's second run, I'd be somewhat intimidated to smell the first. This is firm, complex, and superbly crafted.

The flavor is the same as the aroma: wonderful. It doesn't hit the insane peaks of my absolute favorite Geurzes, but it does a fantastic job of accomplish its own goals on its own terms. One of the very best American-made sours I've ever had.
