Microbrew Invitational pour. This one was great but didnt really come across as a Mexican coffee stout. Got some coffee and chocolate in the nose and flavor but I missed the pepper heat almost completely. Would've liked it to be a little spicier. Excellent in it's own right though.

Microbrew pour. This one was absurd. Easily the best stout I had there. Mexican coffee stouts aren't always my favorite. Desperado was really good because it wasn't too spicy. It was so rich and viscous. It looked amazing in my sample cup. Just enough spice behind the thick chocolate syrup and cinnamon. Awesome. J. Wakefield is very, very, very legit.

Had on tap. Might have been the best thing I have had all day. A fantastic mexican stout, flavors meld perfectly with the barrelbooze and wood without fading in rich character, the cinnamon and vanilla compliment everything so well. Little on the sweeter end for a BA stout, but it really works, just need a little more thickness to the body and it would be perfect. Bravo!

Great beer, very similar to Prop '14, but easier to drink more of...not as sweet. A thicker mouthfeel and a bit stronger whiskey character would have made it incredible. With that being said on the drinkability, I think I prefer Prop '14 for the bolder barrel character and stickier mouth feel.
