"Ananas" translates to pineapple in German, and in true German style, this kölsch retains all of traditional characteristics with the addition of fresh pineapple for a subtle, tropical sweetness.

Greenish hued gold. Lite haze. Ample rings of lace from a small head.
The pineapple comes through on the nose but in a soft way. Reminds me a little of kid's apple juice.
The pineapple is up front but it fades quickly to Kölsch flavors I expect from the style. This is a little sweeter than most Kōlsch beers. There's also a bit of dry cardboard to the taste. Quite rich for the style but the carbonation is adequate. Tangy finish and aftertaste with enough hop to provide bitterness.
