750 mL bottle. Pours orange and a little hazy. Smells of oranges and vanilla. Mostly vanilla. Tastes much more orangey. Tart orange. Pretty sour. Vanilla lends the illusion of creaminess. Lingering sourness. Medium light. It's pretty good.

Appearance: Arrives the color of Minute Maid orange juice and is capped by an inch of foam that leaves splashy lacing
Smell: Orange tones dominate with some tart wheat character underneath
Taste: Lactic orange with a tangy wheat aspect, up front; the tartness builds, through the middle and there is a hint of vanilla in the finish which grows, somewhat, as the liquid warms
Mouthfeel: Light body with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: A fun beer but I am a bit surprised by the hype around it

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, blue session. Aroma is sweet and fruity reminding of bubblegum. Taste is tart, tropical and perfumey. Body is light, dry and refreshing.

Quick thought on this one - this is simultaneously one of the strangest beers and yet, its exactly what they were going for. Lots of orange flavor - sweet and juicy juice like. Then you get the vanilla that gives off an vanilla ice cream flavor. And then your brain registers that this super sour berliner tastes like a creamsicle. Not my cup of tea, nor is it really a berliner weisse, but it does accomplish what it set out to do - taste like a sour creamsicle.

I was super excited for this one. Poured out a nice orange color. Tasted like a creamsicle. Initially you tasted a nice orange flavor which was followed by a vanilla finish. Really cool summer beer.

Think orange Gatorade mixed with a melted creamsicle
Light and delicate flavors that are helped by a good amount of carbonation. Had this poured into a 4oz glass, wish my glass was bigger

Everything you'd want from the look and feel of a Berliner. Amazing nose and taste. My only knock is limited tartness, not representative of the style. However, taste is great. I'm not entirely sure this is a beer, tastes more like a soda/pop/soft drink insert your local colloquiallism here.

Microbrew Invitational....Pours a vibrant orange color. White head that dissipates a bit but lingers a little. The nose on this is outstanding - orange and vanilla...reminds me of my childhood and eating an orange creamsicle. The flavors are spot on with a nice tartness. Finishes to a wonderful vanilla flavor.

Microbrew sample. The third J. Wakefield beer I tried and all three were pretty awesome. SO much flavor for 3.5%. Super tart oranges. I got a pretty prominent vanilla flavor, too. It was pretty detectable throughout. I liked how thw tartness kept going in the finish. Great.

Had on tap. First off, this tastes like a dream... or perhaps a dreamsicle! Though only a few, the potent combo of flavors is perfect. Smell is vanilla to the face. Taste brings plenty of candied orange to go with the odiferous vanilla and some slight wheat. Feels a little thin and sourness is inconsistent from sip to sip. But a great beach beer

Pours a deep vibrant orange color. White head that dissipates a bit but lingers in a ring. Some lacing on the glass. The nose on this is outstanding: Orange and vanilla working together in perfect harmony. Flavors reflect similarly with a nice tartness to balance the sweet flavors. Nice carbonated mouthfeel that bursts on the tongue. Next big thing from these guys
