Pours a nice dark amber color with a slight head and lacing. Aroma had a nice lemon fruity hints. The taste follows the nose with a nice fruity taste. A unique Barleywine with a very nice taste.

On draft at Tap & Grind. Pours a murky brown body, hazy with a half finger white head, short retention with no lacing. Smell is odd. Lemon, sweet barley, a bit of raisin. Booze. Flavour is similar, a bit zesty lemon, raisin, and a decent bit of booze. Slightly toasted grain. Dark fruit. Sweet. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, lower carbonation, dark fruit on the finish. This just was too tough to enjoy, boozy and dark fruity. It didn't come together here.

Hazy copper-caramel with a tall, beige foam that leaves creamy arms on the glass as it settles to a creamy ring.

Smell is toasted biscuit, caramel, pungent hops and prune.

Taste is caramel, toffee and butterscotch pudding with biscuit, pine and wood. Notes of amaretto come along with a little hot burn as mixed nuts emerge at room temperature.

Starting frothy and soft, the medium body dries up to be very cottony in the swallow.

It's not great, but leans more towards the English style at least.

Poured a copper brown body with minimal head and no lace. Aroma has mix of booze and dark fruits (especially sweeter dark fruits like raisins and figs). Smooth drinking beer for having a heavy body and the booze does bleed into beer but mostly you get some dark fruit sweetness. Not exactly a meal in a bottle but a slow sipper that is enjoyable.

Very old ale like characteristics.
