16oz can poured into a snifter

A- pours an opaque dull orange color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a ring

S- aroma is dominated by citrus and coconut; zesty grapefruit, tangerine and lemon, raw coconut. Undertones of pineapple, mango and guava

T- juicy and zesty tropical hops up front give notes of orange juice, grapefruit zest as well as some pithy notes. Mid-palate brings an array of tropical fruits; mango, melon and guava. The finish brings out some sweet coconut notes, with more zesty citrus on the linger

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns into a slightly creamy finish

Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint. No canned on date.

A: Very hazy light amber with 1-2 finger, off white frothy head with average retention and skimpy lacing.

S: Aroma is very estery with a lot of indistinct fruit and floral notes that get overwhelmed by coconut, citrus, and tropical fruit including lime, grapefruit, orange, and guava.

T: Flavor is a bit much with a heavy dose of orange, lime, and grapefruit that gives way to strong toasted coconut in the finish. High esters and low, low bitterness. Alcohol is apparent but not bold.

M: Not the easiest beer to drink due to the heavy-handed flavor and full body with low carbonation.

O: I’m glad I tried it but I wish it was a little lighter in body and ABV too make it a little more drinkable. 1/2-1 per night is a lot.
