It's not a bad pale ale but I'm let down by them using the word Belgian in the description. Maybe there is some Belgian terroir in the grain that I'm not getting, but when I hear Belgian, I think Belgian yeast, which definitely impacts the flavor. It doesn't have that. I may have scored it low because of this.

Had a pint at the Whiskey River Bar at the Charlotte airport. Solid beer. Nice cloudy Amber color, 1 finger head. Smooth drinking. Would definitely have this again.

A little darker than most. Nice malt backbone with some strong caramel and "malt" flavor. Bitterness matches well and this beer is week balanced. I found this one to be way over-carbonated, which detracted from my enjoyment. The bubbles exacerbated the bitterness, but not in a good way. Pretty decent flavor on this one, but needs a bit of help. Some slight dirty diaper flavor a.

Growler from my local Total Wine.

Light Amber/Copper pour with offwhite head. Decent lacing.

Aroma is fresh grapefruit with strong malt undertones.

Hop forward taste with strong malt backbone. Piney but clean finish. Very refreshing.

Good body, slightly resinous. A very nice pale ale.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a crystal clear, copper coloring, with a foamy white head. Nose of lemon, grapefruit, cut grass, and pine. Flavors are crisp and peppery forward, with a caramel backbone. Simple, but extremely well balanced. Smooth, light, and dry in mouth, with a hops resin and bitter overtone in the aftertaste. Smooth, dry finish. Solid Pale.

Tap at the brewery.

Pours a light hazy amber gold, eggshell head is about a quarter inch thick on pour and retains as a film.

Aroma is fresh citrusy hops, grapefruit and orange zest. Bready malt base.

Fresh citrus hop flavor up front followed by honey biscuit malts with a piney hop finish.

Medium body with tingly carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

This is a fantastic pale ale, excellent appearance, aroma, and flavor. This could definitely compete with some other nationally renowned pale ales.

Appearance: Arrives with a clear copper color and a modest head; a few streaks linger

Smell: Rather malty, with bread and caramel tones; pithy hops underneath

Taste: Bread and caramel, up front, with spicy and pithy hop flavors emerging; a touch grassy, in the finish, with the hops overtaking the malts ; a touch of sweetness on the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A hybrid pale ale, using Belgian and English malt and American hops, and it creates a subtle distinction in the malt profile
