Straw yellow in color with lots of moderately sized sediment suspended within the body. There’s a fingernail of off white around the rim and covering half of the top. The aroma is faint. I smell some guava and peach, but not much else. I’m tasting pineapple, peach, guava, and mango. The mouth is light and refreshing. I think too many fruits are fighting for positioning here.

Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy, pale golden color with a moderate white head. SRM of 7. (3.75)

Aroma: Strong buttery and fruity aromas upfront. Tons of butter. After that I get some papaya, guava, peach, and starfruit aromas. Some coconut and then a coconut butter finish. (3.75)

Flavor: Strong and intense buttery flavors upfront. Follows into a tropical fruity flavor of lemon, guava, papaya, peach, starfruit. And then a strong buttery (coconut?) and malty finish. (3.75)

Feel: Larger bodied and leans sweet. A lingering tropical fruit, coconut, and mostly buttery finish. (4.00)

Compared to Kona Big Wave Blonde 8/24/21: Pours a slightly lighter color. Stronger aromas. More butter and

Overall: Buttery is all I can say. A very interesting and unique beer for sure. Still has the tropical fruits of guava, papaya, peach, and sweet pineapple/mango. Yet the coconut butter is definitely here. Leans sweet. Sort of a variation of a pina colada I suppose. Probably not one I would seek out, but I enjoyed trying it once. Unique and sweet for sure. 12 oz can with a late January 2021 canning date stamped on the bottom.
Appearance. This has a slightly hazy, pale golden body with a good white head that has excellent retention.
Aroma. Attractive, fruity and juicy with touches of peaches, coconut, pineapple and misc tropical fruits.
Flavor. Contrary to what the aroma suggests this is mildly bitter rather than sweet. Nicely crafted to reveal most of all of the ingredients including coconut, peaches, pineapple, mango, grains and spicy hops.
Mouthfeel. Smooth, medium body with light carbonation.
Overall. Recommended.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of coconut, pineapple, mango and peach. Sweet tropical fruit taste with a strong coconut punch. Subtle bitterness and tangy kick.

This hit the spot perfectly after a long, hot FLA day without a/c...

At first there wasn't much distinctive of this beer right out of the can. It was hazy and came with a frothy head that lasted a short while. But it was the experience of bringing that pint glass up to my nose that changed everything. My nose was assaulted with scents of pears, peaches, pineapple, and mangoes - everything adverstised on the can. This translated, in a muted but still sweet fashion to the taste. Mouthfeel was very light, high on carbonation, but still enjoyable. I really liked this brew and will look out for it before the end of our hot temp days.

Hawaii Five Ale pours a pale yellow color, with no head. Fruit forward aroma, lots of tropical fruit notes. Flavor has lots of tropical fruits, thick fruit notes, lots and lots of pineapple, hints of mango and peaches, and a small touch of coconut will come through. Good body and feel. Overall, very fruity, very much like tropical juice.

Pour an effervescent & chill-hazed honey color with a pinky of pearl colored head. Some head retention & lacing

S: Pineapple, peach

T: Follows the nose, dryness coconut & mango up front. Coconut & pineapple as this warms, a little peach & dryness as well. Finishes dry with more coconut & pineapple

Light/medium body with fairly firm carbonation, this out as it warms

Almost worked, flavors didn't blend great, glad I only bought a single, I wanted to like this

Poured from a 12 ounce can dated 05/26/20 into a pint glass.
Appears hazy golden yellow with a foamy white head that dropped quickly leaving almost no foam at all.
Smells malty, citrusy orange, pineapple, guava, cocunut.
Taste follows the nose and definitely malt forward.
Mouth feel is medium plus for the style.
Overall a tropical fruity blonde ale that I would like to order on tap.

Poured from 12-ounce can into a stemless wine glass. Appearance is a hazy dark yellow color, with a thin white head that dissipated almost immediately without a trace. Aroma is surprisingly malt forward, with muted fruit notes (mostly pineapple and peach). A little more of the fruit comes through on the palate, with coconut finally making an appearance. As this warms from fridge temperature, the flavor seems to balance out and the beer becomes quite pleasant and tasty. Medium in body, with good carbonation and very little sweetness. The finish is dry, without any fruitiness lingering on the palate. Overall, this is a very good beer with just the right amount of fruit flavor to complement the light maltiness.

12oz can dated 06/10/20 and poured into a tulip shows a gold tinged pale yellow body and briefly supports a 1/2in cap of tight white bubbles leaving barely a spot or two on the glass.

Aromas and flavors of pineapple, guava, peach, mango and coconut just like advertised. Pretty nice.

Light feel with a clean finish.

Overall a beer cocktail in a can.

Canned 3/02/20 (yay my B-day)
Pours a med fizzy bubbly head with low retention, a touch of lacing, very hazy blond color

Nose is like a tropical drink, maybe Mai Tai or something like that, loads of tropical fruit, big time pineapple, coconut, mango, peachy stone fruit, etc, unfortunately no beer in there

Taste is the same, although there is some blond ale malt in there, a little sweet malt, otherwise all tropical fruits, loads of pineapple and coconut, mango, peach, etc, touch of bitterness, but again almost no beer

Mouth is med bod, a touch of alcohol, med-lighter carb

Overall this was enjoyable for a summer drink, but def not as a beer, I might as well just get some rum and fruit juice and it will be cheaper and more effective, unfortunately just not a beer

A: The beer is quite hazy yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left thick wisps of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of coconut are present in the nose along with notes of pineapple.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of coconuts and pineapples, and also has additional hints of mango.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I liked the smell and taste of this beer, which reminded me a lot of a pińa colada. It was nice and fruity without being overly sweet.
