BEER INFO

Brewed by:
DESTIHL Brewery

Style: Gose

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
Our Leipzig-Style Gose undergoes a spontaneous fermentation, similar to Belgian-style Gueuze/Lambic beers, and exhibits a complexity of acidic flavor and aroma contributed by wild yeast lactic fermentation. Lemon, lime and other citrus-like qualities are present in aroma and on the palate, which is balanced by the spicy character of added coriander and a mineral-mouthfeel from added sea salt.

White head. Golden orange color.

Nice lime citrus flavor up front. Salty and tart. Sour. Lemon citrus as well. Sour patch kids. This has a nice amount of flavor. Ends with no flavor in the finish except more tartness.

Very enjoyable compared to others in this style.

This was poured into a stange. The appearance was a hazy semi - burnt orange to amber color with a quickly dieing head that left no lacing. Nice transparency runs about it. The smell had a sweet lemon and lime rolling into a light coriander. The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors and added a little salt and had still a nice wheat base to balance. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonated nicely, this one had a nice sweet sticky sourness rolling over my tongue. Overall, I say this was a pretty good gose. I liked the twist of lemon and lime to make unique. I’d have this again.

Super sour bomb, Granny Smith. Tart sourness along with carbonation gives it a punch. Not much malt or hops. Really tasty for a gose.

Pure gold and topped with a small tan froth. Smells like a salted lemon. Taste is novel with prominent notes of ripe and somewhat funky fruit (green apple, white grape, pear), a dash of salt and lime. Light and way flavorful. This little guy packs a punch.

12oz can. 1/4/17 can date. Appearance: Clear deep golden with a moderate white foam head that dissipates quickly. No lacing
Aroma: Cider vinegar, acetic acid, and a touch of salinity.
Taste: Light bread you malt sweetness with a sharp, acidic lemon and lime flavor and tartness. Acidity is very high for the style with a minimal saltiness. No noticeable hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Light and highly carbonated
Finish: Saltiness shows up more on the finish and lingers long after, along with a lime, cactus flavor
Overall: Very nice gose. Acidity is very high, creating a puckering tartness, but has a nice lemon and lime flavor, with saltiness showing up on the swallow to balance the aggressive sour quality.
