Our Leipzig-style gose and blueberries are a combination destined to be together, so we've done that for you with this edition of our gose. The blueberries add another layer of fruity complexity to this sour ale already know for its tart, citrusy qualities while still balanced by the spicy character of coriander and a mineral-mouthfeel from French sea salt.

12 oz can
Pours slightly hazy rosy color, pinkish white head is around an inch thick but quickly dissipates to nothing.
Smells of citrus and fresh berry over cracker malts.
Flavor is of blueberry and lemon citrus. Cracker and sourdough bread malts. Slight grassy finish. Mixed berries in the aftertaste.
Light body, stinging carbonation on the roof of the mouth.
Nice, lift refreshing berry sour, drinks easy, good warm weather beer. Not the best of this series, but not bad.

Canned 8/31/21
Following immediately from a Gose from Duclaw, we have a blueberry Gose from Destihl’s Wild Sour Series, a series which I am very fond of. Let’s see what it’s all about
Pours a cloudy orange pink with 2 fingers of light pink head that quickly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
This is nicely tart in the nose, and has pretty much the perfect level of blueberry. I’m picking up on aromas of jammy blueberry, tart lemon, wheat bread, coriander, and a touch of salinity
And it keeps up in taste! Very tart and juicy. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tart blueberry, doughy malt, lemon zest, sea salt, and light wheat. The swallow brings notes of lemon juicy, jammy blueberry, coriander, and wheat bread
A light body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a zesty and refreshing beer. Finishes dry with a puckering tartness
This one is great. Perfect for this beautiful afternoon

Um this is a pink beer, dark pink but pink. It’s smells funky. Flavor isn’t sweet but fruity and fleeting. Hardly any sourness to the flavor but some zippy carbonation rounds out this beer.

5 oz pour on tap. I love fruited goses but this was disappointing. There is a weird bitter/metallic flavor that detracts from the desirable attributes of this beer (blueberry, wheat, tartness). Disappointing. I mean, a blueberry gose ought to be delicious and refreshing and this manages to be neither.

Pours a fun pink/red without a lot of head. Fruity blueberry/berry on the nose with salt and lemon. Any coriander is well hidden. Someone compared the blueberry quality to gooey yogurt blueberries and I'll echo that. The blueberry is less evident in the flavor, where it's a light, wheaty malt base with a little citrus and decent salt. Quite tart. Medium-light mouthfeel.

Poured into a tulip glass.
A: Slightly hazy cranberry color with a thin white foamy head that quickly disappears.
S: Lovely nose of blueberry, raspberry, chocolate.
T: Blueberry, raspberry, a touch of salinity. Didn’t really appreciate much tart character.
M: Light in body.
O: Drinkable and solid beer, though didn’t have the sour quality I was looking for.
