Classic Wisconsin lager, sporting an American malt profile. Moderate mouth feel, mild bittering and superb drinkability.

I remember seeing the bottles earlier -- the tagline for the beer is "not bad."
Not necessarily a promising start, but I got this for free so I can't argue.

And it is better than I expected, actually more than passably drinkable.

The head persists for a while, and some lacing is left behind. Though this isn't very pretty, it's still something.
Color is a slightly darker than average (BMC, cough) so I'll give this some credit.

Supper Club can be summed up very quickly: imagine your normal pale lager, then improve every part of it.

I could see myself getting this again at a fishfry or...even a supper club.

Pours out of the can a crystal clear straw-gold with a finger of head that dissipates quickly. Smells like corn, crackery, and malt. Taste follows suit, bringing the cracker notes to the foreground. Carbonated in a way that brings a peppery feeling to the brew. A solid lager for anytime for sure.

Opening the bottle is like stepping back too many years, being a kid again and going to the local supper club, or attending some distant relative's wedding: the slightly sour-sweet smell, transparent amber color, bubbles going up the side of the glass. The ever-so-off-white head dissipates a little faster, not leaving froth on my mustache as I remember it did on old relatives who were probably younger than I am now. The flavor is also substantially deeper and more nuanced. There is a hint of honey to offset almost all bitterness except that last little bit on the tongue at the end. The carbonation is not overpowering, though it seems to be enough to almost entirely carry off any hint of taste remaining in my mouth. It makes me want to drink more and wish I had more than one bottle.

L: Clear bright yellow with a white head. Pretty standard.
S: Floral hops, sour malt, sourdough smell.
T: Nice balance of bitterness and pale malts. Taste definitely feels watered down a tad even for a lager.
F: Very refreshing, nice carbonation, light body.
O: It is a nice refreshing lager and is pretty good for cooling down at the end of the day. However it lacks a lot of flavor and body, could have told me this was a sparkling water with beer flavor. It's not bad but compared to other Wisconsin lagers like two women; it falls through.

Bottle from Total Wine in WI. Enjoyed at Hoovers’ apt. Agree on summer quencher or accompanying cookout. Works as 2nd/3rd beer in winter. Not stellar

Poured from 12oz bottle into glass. Neck of bottle is stamped '2217SP 17:03'.
Very clear, pale straw colored body. Islands of white head. Any lacing slides back into glass.
Pale malts on nose, floral hops.
Taste follows aroma, with pale malts and floral hops. Kind of sweet, minimal bitterness.
Appropriate light to medium mouth feel.
Very smooth tasting with balance throughout. Very much recommended as a summer quencher or for accompanying a supper club fish boil.

I brought some of this to a family party and it went over well. I had one left so I thought I would do a review.

12 oz can poured into a pint glass, the beer a medium gold with a bit of an off-white head.

The aroma is of grains and bit of something floral. It really just smells like a better version of a macro.

The beer is slightly sweet and has some graininess to it. There is a bit of mild hop bite and that floral taste from the smell is in the finish. It is like a slightly amped up PBR without the corn notes.

The mouth is medium with some zippy carbonation.

This would be a very easy beer to pair with a Wisconsin fish fry and potato salad.

I wonder if Capital created this one to compete with Spotted Cow.
