Nice orange color, with thin white head. Smells malty and a little hoppy. Tastes grassy and malty, with a little bitter in the finish and some heat from the alcohol. Not a bad taste just not what I'd expect in a dbl IPA. Mouthfeel is smooth and bubbly with bitter bite.
Overall, it's worth a try, but don't expect the typical dbl IPA. I don't think I'b buy another one, but if someone offered me one I wouldn't turn it down.

22oz brown bomber with no freshness date.
Pale brassy hue, superb looking lacing. Fresh hop resin, semi-dank and herbal, tobacco, lemon grass and grapefruit pith make for quite a hoppy nose. Pungent, agressive hopping here. Bitterness is pretty intense but not a palate destroyer. Smooth and creamy, very chewy medium body. Dank, piney, mint, tobacco, peppery alcohol, underlying breadiness, noticeable alcohol, lemon zest, papaya , rose water, long bitter semi-dry finish.
The hoppiness is almost relentless on taking over my tastebuds but there is a smidgen of balance here.

Appearance - Fairly dark amber gold. Clear. Short off white head, not persistent.
Smell - Hoppy. Mainly a nice herbal aroma.
Taste - Heavy dose of grassy hops balanced with a nice rich molasses-y medium roasted malt. Clear alcohol warmth. Not quite what I was expecting, but rich and balanced - a good tasting, weighty beer.
Mouthfeel - Medium to full. Smooth.
Overall - I like it. Some might not agree with the designation of style.

Pours amber with a big frothy head.
Smells great, bready malty base with grapefruit, pine, and herbal hop notes.
Taste is a muddled mess for me though. Lacking complexity, one hoppy note of dank resiny pine, some grass and bread in there. No bite at the finish.
Medium carbonated mouthfeel, though ends up flat feeling, perhaps from the flavor profile.
I love me some Capital lagers, but this just missed the boat - or overturned it I guess. The hopping just didn't lend itself to any definition of flavor, it was just a wall of flat dank hops.

A - creamy ivory head tops a hazed rusty colored ale. The head holds good retention leaving some lacing on its way down
S - fruity aroma with bready malt and piny hops
T - bready malt with pungent bitter pine dominate the palate; caramel, spicy hops, and fruity esters are more in the background
M - very resiny mouth-feel, medium bodied and drying as the piny hops linger beyond the finish. Alcohol is nonexistent, especially when it's 9.2%! I actually had to double check to make sure it was 9.2% because it is so well concealed.
O - seems a bit muddled, but I do like the piny hops and the bready malt flavors in my IPA's so that's a plus for me. Not so sure I'd get it again, but I seem to have enjoyed it more than most.

A: Darker shade of copper in color. Forms a moderate sized off-white colored head. Decent retention. Moderate lacing.
S: Aroma is malt dominant. Caramel malts. Some pine hops and some concentrated citrus zest.
T: Taste is a blend of caramel malts, mildly sweet citrus, pine, and grapefruit. Mildly bready and earthy. But its mostly the caramel malt. And while I typically like these flavors, this beer is not overly appealing.
M: Medium bodied. A slight bit sweet on the front end. Somewhat dry bitterness on the back end. Appropriate carbonation.
O: Certainly a more East Coast style of DIPA with more malt than hops. A decent beer. Drinkable, but not something that I'd ever visit again.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Wait, this is a DIPA from Capital? Alright. Let's do this. It pours a midnight copper-bronze topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises pine resin, light leek, and thick caramel. The taste brings in more of the same, with a sharper resin character, a weaker caramel backbone, and a malingering bitterness that just ends up dulling my tongue, Novocaine-style. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, it's a nice enough DIPA, I suppose, but it's just a blunt thwack of bitterness and lacks the usual balance and control Capital is known for.

Capsized pours a dark golden color with a small lacing head. There is a rich and hoppy aroma. The taste is on the maltier side, with a harsh floral hop flavor. Full bodied, good flavors, a bit harsh. Overall its an okay double IPA, a bit harsh, and more well balanced then others.
