Purchased as part of "build-your-own-six-pack" at local grocer. Pored a light amber, with a large foamy head. Smell was very faint, not much there, really. Taste was also mild, both the initial bitter and the sweet at the end. Just a straight average lager, nothing more, nothing less.

This is just a good, solid, easy drinking amber/red that although it is nothing special, it is a nice, easy drinking beer to be enjoyed on a hot, summer day. I give it a slighly higher than average score because it is from Capital Brewery and they are one of my favorite local breweries. It has the normal caramel notes that I usually can taste in a red. It isn't my favorite Capital beer but like I said, a good summer option.
EDIT-Had it immediatly after a Fat Tire and when I had this one, I almost tasted a medicine like bittnerness that was not pleasant. I won't lower the score too much but when compared to something else similar I did not like this.

This is essentially an "Amber lite", not bad but nothing special. Has a light cherry smell to it, watered down mouth feal , probably would be great if you enjoy amber type beer but want something for a hot summer evening or out on the golf course. Smooth malt with no noticeable hop bite to it. Had a half inch of foam that dissipated in less than one minute.

Appearance: I had to pour it pretty aggressively to get a head on it. The beer is a super clear reddish-orange color with very few bubbles rising. The half-inch head that I gained by the aggressive pour disappeared within about a minute to a very small ring around the glass.

Aroma: I get some fruity esters that mix pretty pleasantly with the caramel notes in the aroma. This example may have a bit of age on it, as it has a slight sherry note to it.

Taste: Very fruity flavor. Not that I can really pick any one out, but it is a nice medley of fruit presence. There is a bit of cardboard that is definitely discernable in this beer...further leading me to believe that the beer is past it's prime. There is no date present on the bottle...bummer.

Opinion: This seems like it was a lot nicer beer in it's prime, but since it is such a light-flavored beer, it is showing the first signs of age. It tastes clean enough that I would keep an eye out for it to try again sometime...especially in Wisconsin.

Pretty blah and average lager. The head was virtually absent and the color was pretty flat looking. The aroma wasn't too bad with wheat, grass and malt hints. The taste was pretty dry and uneventful with a sugary finish. Not the greatest brew from capital, but then again, not too many lagers blow me away.

Pours an effervescent amber with 3 fingers of tan head. Above average head retention & lacing

S: Bready & some grainyness as this warms.

T: bready, slight caramel & toffee flavors up front, plus a touch of grainyness. Grainyness, cloying sweetness & a touch of dryness are all there as this warms, plus some leafy hops. Finishes grainy with cloying sweetness & a touch herbal hop bitterness

MF: Medium bodied with crisp carbonation, Starts to thin out as this warms, not that great on balance

Drinks fairly easy but lack of character makes this one boring & forgettable

On tap at Kickbacks in Jax. Poured into a Unibroue tulip. Moderate, off-white head, average retention, suddsy lacing. Aroma includes caramel malts, mild brown sugar, maybe a touch of butter (unfortunately). Taste also with a bit of mild sweetness, mainly caramel, very low bitterness. Pretty easy to drink, maybe just a touch of off flavor on the back end but not a bad beer, just not spectacular.

Draught in a pint glass

A: nice amber color. Not much of a head but I didn't pour it. From what I do see looks off white and frothy. Some lacing but mt alot

S: I'm getting a lot of crisp malt with a slight copper smell.

T: very drinkable, pretty malty but nothing to insane. All around its an average amber that doesnt stray too far from the flavor point you would expect.

M: nice and crisp. Refreshing, not too carbonated.

O: all around decent beer. True to the style but lacked any distinctive features.
