A - A slightly hazy gold brew resides a crusty three finger head that leaves a ton of sandy lace behind.

S - Grainy and slightly fruity notes combine with some acrid sharp hop notes to make an interesting aroma. Smells very much "to style" with saltine cracker and saaz hop notes.

T - More aggressive than the nose. This is very floral and spicy....like roses with black pepper sprinkled on them. Red apple skin and orange juice round out the flavors and make this a bit more diverse than a standard German pils.

M - Medium bodied, acidic, aggressively carbonated, and dry as hell on a hot day.

D - This is a biting beer in both flavor and mouthfeel. Quenching, but somehow makes you more thirsty after the really dry finish. This is a pretty good pils that can stand up to some of the real krauts.

Pours golden, true to German style - so much darker than American pils. 1 finger head of large bubbles. Produces a nice lace as consumed. Slight, sweet nose. Noble hops evident. Very clean, bready malt flavors. A bit grainy as it warms up. Hops cleanse somewhat, but leaves a long sweet finish. Bittering comes back late.

I prefer more hop bittering and flavor, but this is executed to style. A beer to introduce macro drinkers to real beer.

Firm, frothy head, pale yellowy color. Good aromatics, fresh, floral nose. Taste is happily zingy, with an impressive hop presence on the palate, nice touch of sweetness, nowhere near as dry as Pilsner Urquell, just for example. Finish is sadly bland. A drinkable pils, but I'm not sure what makes it special.

Darker gold color with a clear appearance and a small-bubbled shiny head of 1/4 of an inch. Mostly a hoppy aroma with a far-off sense of green grass and some bread smells. Malt flavors are nuttier than I expected, not overwhelming but more Munchener-like. Hops balance and dry the finish but like a German Pilsner, aren't Bohemian-like in delicate crispness -- more lemony astringent. Kind of an ordinary beast in Capital Brewery's stable of big, bad cold fermenters, but I'll try a few more come the dog days of summer.

Isnt that special? Pours a mostly cloudy, straw yellow golden color with some darker golden hues throughout. A rocky head with some bigger bubbles and not much lacing through the tasting. But good retention.

The nose is super grainy. Very distinct German pilsner notes with some malty backings. Some minor husky note but not over the top. The hops are not really there. Would like some hops although with pils, not much. Very clean yeast although some is noticeable.

The taste is more balanced with malty sweetness and German pils notes. Some good grainy backing with limited husky notes. Good backing. Some minor tannic notes but not over the top. The hops were limited with a minor bitterness that could use some balance. Some distinct floral hop notes on the back end. Some yeasty notes as well that is a bit of a distraction, but mostly clean.

The body is moderate but does have a dry finish. Carbonation is low, could use a bit more. Overall great malt profile but would like a bit more hops to balance and some minor yeast issues.

Dark straw and clear in hue, topped by a sticky well retained head that leaves Belgian lace. The understated aroma is a combination of an herbal hop nose, light lemony tartness and mellow graininess. Aromawise, it's like their 1900 minus the sweet corn notes. Moderate, clean hop bitterness is perceived at first, then gives way to lightly toasty and sweet pilsner malt notes. Mild floral and herbal perhaps Spalt hop flavor. Lightly bodied, with a crisp, dry, well attenuated mouthfeel. Finishes dry w/ hop bitterness and bready malt fading quickly. Capital has brewed a well balanced, quaffable pilsner. With more body and malt character this would've been outstanding.

Dark gold color with thinner head that retains somewhat well.

Notes of earth, noble hops and some malt, mineral water aroma. Tastes of some floral noble hops, not the spicy saaz that you would expect from a pils. Malt and clean water balance out the palate. Proper carbonation and light feel.

Overall a good beer, nothing to memorable, but not bad. I would order it on a menu at a resturant, but probably won't be on the top of my list to bring it home.

Pours golden with a good head. Some head retention, not much lacing. The smell is crisp and with good noble hop aromas, but with an underlying aroma of lager yeast. The taste is similar. Crisp, slightly soft, and with floral hops. The mouthfeel is soft and a touch creamy. Not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my to look for it. I suppose if it were local to me I'd drink it.
