Bready aromas with a little hops. Pours brilliant orange gold under a very finely bubbled 1” white foam cap. Bread and malt seasoned with kettle sugars and traces of malt spice season the palate. Medium body and medium carbonation.

12 fl oz. can, with some sort of coded canned on date on the bottom. Acquired a single of this fall seasonal from Capital Brewery as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's. Expectations are pretty nice for this one.

Poured into an Oktoberfest nonic pint glass.

A - Pours a nice dark coppery orange body with two fizzy fingers of khaki head that settles down to a thin ring. Some fine sediment visible twirling in the glass. Looks pretty nice.

S - Fairly light, but pleasant and fit to style. Coppery & metallic, some appley yeast presence, and a firm roasty toasty nutty malt backbone.

T - Taste is a bit more grainy & husky than the nose implies, but it's well balanced. Not as much caramel / toasted malt in the flavor as I'd hoped for though. Rough & grainy, a touch medicinal, with perhaps a touch of alcohol content noticeable even for the low abv. Some fruity fermented apples / pears dominate the finish.

M - The feel is crisp & clean. Light-bodied with excellent carbonation. Extremely easy drinking stuff.

Overall, an average but passable representation of the style from Capital Brewery. It wouldn't be my first choice for the style, but it's definitely very flavorful and easy to drink.

Golden amber in color. Poured in to a snfter and served with Taco Bell, of all things. It worked. Malty, wet bread, toffee in the nose and taste. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Overall a decent marzen.
