Poured from a 16 oz. can into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About a finger of white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A juicy and fairly sweet Belgian style aroma with a scent of fruit and spice. Belgian yeast with some hints of pepper, clove, coriander, and famhouse funk. Big scent of sauvignon blanc grapes. Also some fruit hints of orange, pear, and lemon. Pale malt with hints of straw, cracker, and grains. Light earthy hop hints. A pretty solid smell.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and sweet Belgian style taste with notes of fruit and spice. Belgian yeast with some spice hints of pepper, corainder, clove, and farmhouse funk. Good notes of the added sauvignon blanc grapes. More fruit notes of orange, lemon zest, and pear. Pale malt with bready notes of cracker, straw, and grains. Light earthy hop bitterness. A pretty solid juicy taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a fairly high level of carbobation. Juicy, prickly, and pretty smooth with a drying finish.

Overall: A pretty solid spin on a Saison. The grapes add a nice juicy kick.

The rapidly diminishing head was a warning that this does not have the proper Saison mouthfeel, and that is the case. Not effervescent, a little syrupy and somewhat cloying.

Otherwise, the aroma is mostly good (banana, fleshy fruit, stale wine, cloves) and the taste is okay (similar profile) but the stale wine flavors leave a distracting aftertaste.

My favorite beer from this new brewery. This saison is on point and drinks easy for a high ABV saison. Of note from this beer is it has a fair amount of tartness and a real dry quality in the finish. Nice saison.

Had on tap. Bready nose with a touch of tart, overripe fruit and yeast. Pours gold with a slight haze under a thin head. There is fruit on the palate with a little alkaline thing going on in the background along with oak, orange and plum. It has medium carbonation and medium body. More saison-like than many locally made versions.

First got to taste this on tap at Insight so I had to buy a sixer.
Poured into my New Belgium goblet.
A - Pours a beautiful clear golden orange color with tiny bubbles dancing around.
S - Aroma is of apples and grapes.
T - Flavor is a little funky, some cracker, some pepper and clove. And just a little wine. Tart but muted.
M - Refreshing, light mouth feel, above average carbonation, dry on finish.
O - I would call this a starter saison, particularly good for those new to the style. Well balanced, nothing out of line or over the top. That being said, I really like this beer and I will drink a lot more of it.

A lovely farmhouse ale. You wouldn't know it's brewed with grapes without reading the label, and that's how it should be. Big spicy, coriander, cracked pepper, and honey character. I get a touch of doughy malts and light apricot and white grape notes. Fun beer, check it out.

I really like this but am newer to the style. I can see trying more saisons after this. Definitely picking up the sb grapes and a slightly sour nose. Great wine presence and nice hop profile. A little vanilla present. Nice.
