16oz can

Semi-transparent, good head and lacing. Smell is great, honey malts under tons of pine and citrus fruit. Hop forward and bitter, not much else to write home about. An unfortunate touch of 'dry leaves'.

Ehh, it doesn't do much to stand out, but at the same time it's obviously quality stuff. Just not my bag, maybe it's off

Appearance: Pours a beautiful, clear, dark orange, and slightly coppered color. A nice off-white head. SRM of 14 (4.00).

Aroma: The aroma is here classic and beautiful. Pure citra and no strings attached. It's just citra hops so all citrus with a little bit of pine. Nothing to confuse. Takes me to the backbone of an IPA. A sweet bready, honey, pale malt profile. (4.00)

Flavor: Pure citrus flavor. Orange, tangerine, grapefruit, and slight pineapple and light peach. A hint of pine underneath. Nothing tropical to confuse the business. Strong honey bread and monkey bread malt profile. A medium amount of bitterness on the finish. (4.00)

Feel: Medium-bodied and bitterness. A medium astringency to balance the malts. Well-balanced. (4.00)

Overall: A fantastic bare bones, single-hopped IPA. Really showcases the citra well. Great west-coast flavors, but a moderate bitterness. This represents the original IPA and really more IPAs should abolish the complexity and use more basic, isolated Citra to showcase this flavor. 4.00 rating all around. (Final Rating: 4.00)

Wow! I'm impressed! First time I have tried this. Good citrus...not much pine. Hops on the front end and throughout. 7.0 ABV with a very nice aftertaste. Try this IPA. I think it's one of the best I've tried.

I've had a couple 4 packs of this citrusy ipa and finally getting around to a review.
A-Poured in a pint glass topped with a finger of the white stuff is a moderately hazy brew with a muddy gold color.
S-Heavy on the citrus hops. Grapefruit, orange, grass and pine. Slight toast to the malt.
T-The citrus hops are fairly strong along with a sturdy clean barley malt to carry.
M-Moderate carbonation with plenty of chewy malt. Hop finish with slight/moderate bitterness. No burn.
O-Solid option from Insight. As advertised, a citrus forward ipa.
