I had the pleasure of enjoying this in a glass in Munich's Shamrock Irish Pub (Prost Jackson [the bartender]).
The beer had a cloudy and superlative wheat appearance. After the giant creamy head had dropped, I was able to get my nose in there and enjoy the tangy and spicy aroma. Flavor was jammed with cloves and banana.
An incredibly smooth beer with some serious complexity.
so smooth and heavenly. You must try this one fresh.

Appearance: Poured with two fingers worth of head that produces a decent amount of lace and stuck around for a good long time. The body is a very cloudy dark, almost honey color that shows very strong carbonation and only blurs of your fingers through the glass. More lace would have netted the perfect score here.
Smell: Predominantly banana but is has an odd swampy funk that isn't especially potent, but it detracts from the banana as well as clove and rosemary notes in the background. Warming is needed but it has decent potency. Seems a bit better then a run of the mill, but slightly off.
Taste: A nice banana and biscuit malt to start us off, but then that mild swampy note shows up briefly before an almost creamy banana infused spiced cream note that has a slight peppery end. It is unique that is for sure, but it's a bit of a weird ride.
Mouthfeel: I love the creaminess of this offering, as it comes across as unique. Most hefe's I've had lean more into a soapy, light foaminess, what I'm not as much as fan of it the beers transitioning is bit all over the place. It's a fast ride through some weird tastes that because it's so fast, you don't wholly take it and get the impression that if you did, something would not be right about this trip. That said, the aftertaste being a nice mildly spiced banana cream is pleasant.
Drinkability: It's a bit thicker then most Hefe's I had, but it's a welcome spin as I wouldn't say it progresses past medium body. It's refreshing and easy to drink that is for sure, but the heavier body I think would favor this to be had with dinner instead of standing on its own.
Final Thoughts: My mind wanders to "This would go really well with schnitzel, but not plain with lemon schnitzel. Something like jaeger schnitzel (which is basically schnitzel with a mushroom/gravy like sauce) but not jaeger schnitzel." Sadly, I couldn't tell you what would work with it. That weird swampy note comes across as "I'm a half piece and X is the other half." What is that other half, I have no idea. This is a good and perfectly serviceable hefe. On it's own merits though, It's not as good as one of the well know giants of the style (Them being Weihenstephaner & Hacker-Pschorr) nor some lesser known locals I've had. However, I can help but think this beer has a niche and is meant to be paired with pork of some kind, I just don't know what. Just my thoughts.

Bottle: Poured a slight hazy milky yellow color ale with a rather large white foamy head with good retention and a good amount of lacing. Aroma of wheat malt notes with some light residual sugar notes and some light cloves notes. Taste is also dominated by nice wheat malt notes with light bubblegum and cloves notes with some residual sugar is also noticeable. Body is full for the style with good carbonation. Well brewed classic Weisse.

I bought 2 bottles today at the beerstore in Ontario.
Poured into glass 2 maybe 3 finger creamy white head hazy orange color
Smells nice and fresh hint of bananas but then it smelled a little different as I was drinking it the next time
Taste is even more bananas smooth and creamy.
Leaving a lace all around as you drink it it's very enjoyable and refreshing I kinda like the flavor of the banana.
Overall an ok beer maybe a little sweet
with a strange smell after you take the first sip wheat beer.
Cheers

500 ml bottle served cold into a pint glass. Beer Store purchase for around $3.50 CDN. Best before 6.10.21.
Appearance - Fairly clear for a hefeweizen, rich dark golden color with hues of honey brown. Big three fingers of white head poured initially, falls back to half finger pretty quickly. Streaky lacing all over the glass.
Smell - Banana, hints of clove and some caramel and bready sweetness. A robust aroma and more malty than most.
Taste - The caramel trend continues, with lots of banana, bready goodness, and just a hint of bitterness. Probably a bit sweeter than most hefe's.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and rich, creamy, carbonation is mild and body is medium, leaning heavy if push came to shove.
Overall - Very solid hefe that is enjoyable and on the "rich" side, a little more decadent and quite tasty. Would be happy to drink much more of this.

500 ml bottle, bought in Bier Spezi Hamburg. Hazy orange colour, pours with the typical hefeweizen enormous head. Spicy aroma (cloves and more), hints of leather and ammonium too. Typical hefeweizen flavour but not quite as full as I desired. Rather dry, minimal hops. Fizzy and slightly dusty mouthfeel. Decent, but not the best h.w. I’ve had.

500ml bottle purchased from Ontario Beer Store. Poured into a clear stein. Foamy head that lasted about 3 minutes and diminished to a 1/8" film with some lacing. Appearance is cloudy pale gold. Smells faintly of citrus, cloves and bread. Was quite surprised on the taste - I found it to be very watery and lacking in substance. I don't drink Weisse beers often, but when I do, I'd be more inclined to seek out a Schneider, Weihenstephan, or Hacker Pschorr. This one doesn't measure up.

500ml crown top bottle: pours a hazy burnished gold with a 3 finger white meringue cap....aroma is demure, fruity, some banana, bready, earthy, spicy....flavor is fruity/cloves/malty...turns dry and peppery effervescence in the very clean dusty dry finish...well rounded but sharp, dry spicy character...very quenching...very decent for a bottled Hefeweizen.

Kinda ordinary as Weiss beers go. Very sharply carbonated out of the bottle - I prefer the softer stuff. Clear gold, a bit of lace from a full film. Shortened banana nose. Ok, but nothing special.

3,00€/,5l vom fass @ Gaststätte Weißbier Hex, Nürnberg, DE on 25.09.2017
Notes: Cloudy golden body beneath a massive head of frothy bright white foam that holds exceptionally well buoyed by the carbonation rising from below. As might be suspected, the lacing is quite good as well. The aroma is bright with sweetish wheaty malt and banana and clove. The flavor follows with some earthiness and light spiciness added into the mix. It's nicely balanced to allow the malt to show without becoming too sweet.

Pours a clouded pale yellow color with a small, yet stable head.
Smells of anise, peppers and lots of wet leafes, together with a hint of ripe, spicy banana.
Drinks very smooth and soft, with a bright effervescent peak right after the swallow, showcasing a refreshing, light bodied and well balanced Weisse.
Tastes of slowly evolving, yeast embraced, caramel malts, which get enhanced by the well nuanced spices and soothed by an aqueous softness. The hops from the nose are non-existent on the palate, getting replaced by a short effervescent peak, amping up the refreshment level in this. Finishes soft, a bit watery and one dimensional, but with a late banana ripeness and toasted peppers.
Nice interpretation of a Weisse. Truly refreshing, vivid on the tongue and nicely balanced. If only it could provide a faint hop presence to add a little complexity.
