If you're looking for some good beer, this is not the place. The group I was with got several sampler flights and managed to try almost every beer in the place, over a dozen beers on tap. Each and every beer had a certain homebrew bacterial "funk" to it. Thus, the beers tasted very amateur and frankly terrible.
On the other hand, the service was great and the staff was friendly. The "vibe" was nice with the ubiquitous deer hunter motif often seen in central Texas. The food was typical cafe food for Texas, burgers, fries, sandwiches, Tex-Mex... etc.
Overall, not worth the trip. This place gives microbrews a bad name in an area where the local populace is already skeptical of anything not ending in "Light." As far as the food goes, there are better places to eat in San Saba county too.
