The last brewery I visited on my beer day in Seattle.

V - Fix the late afternoon sun issue as it makes almost half of the tap room unusable. Otherwise the big garage tap room without windows looking onto the brewery. 3.75

Sel - Only Holy Mountain beers. Nothing dark or heavy. 3.5

Ser - Nice folks. I was not needy. 3.75

Q - Good glassware, clean, etc. 4

F - No food

Loved this place. As others have said it has a minimalist feel to it. Fairly roomy with seats at bar and throughout the building. Loved the long walkway into the tap room. Service was great. Eclectic list of beers on tap and in bottles.

Located in a unique spot that is much less bustling and a lot more mellow than downtown Seattle, the bar is moderately short, but the rest of the space is rather roomy, as it needs to be since it still gets quite busy despite its decentralized location. The bar top is a nice wooden bar, with a windowed view to some fermenters. The tap station is to the right, in front of the swag, and has a cute, understated appearance for such an up-and-coming brewer. A large garage door that opens in the back not only provides a view of trains as they go by, but is great for sunsets over Elliott Bay of the Puget Sound.

Service is mostly self unless you're at the bar, and the beers are more than worth it: very mature and complex saisons, super potent and dank IPAs, and strong, deep dark brews. Selection includes some local ciders and collaborations, but is limited to around 10 lines total, with some in-house bottles to consider. Two fresh hop ales were on when we visited, and they were our favorites of all the fresh hop brews we had over the course of a 1.5 week road trip through the entire Pacific Northwest.

it was awesome to make in to visit this brewery ever since i had my first beer from them. they are doing such a great job, it was a bit of a destination for us, totally worth it. the space is about as minimalist as i have ever visited, but its cool. a garage door in front opening to barrels and tanks, very blue collar, and a hallway through the adjacent door leads to a whitewashed taproom with nothing more than some booths and some tables, literally unadorned with any kind of decor. another garage door opens to busy train tracks behind, a long right angle bar runs the length of the place, and there is a view to the brew house behind it. they had a nice range of beers on, including a killer esb, some hoppy selections, and the saison types i had previously known them for. everything we had was awesome, but of all of them, a belgian single won the day for me. folks behind the bar warmed up to us pretty quickly, and we left as friends. prices were fair for the quality, and it was unpretentious really. i like the minimalist nature of the place. its not about a sporting match, a board game, or some lousy food cart, its all about the beer, and it shows in everything they are doing here. awesome brewery visit, ill be back when i make it back to seattle!

The best brewery during my recent visit to Seattle. Saisons for days and a few sours and hoppy items mixed in. Love the industrial, almost cult-like vibe they have going on. Friendly service and appropriately priced, high quality beer. The tasting room is a little off the beaten path in an industrial area by the train tracks but its worth the journey. I came about 90 minutes before closing time but couldve easily spent another hour here.

When in Seattle, stop by.

Great warehouse space with high ceilings and sleek minimalist design. If you happen to get a sunny-Seattle-day afternoon sunlight pours in and bounces all over off the white walls. If weather is warm enough and the back roll up door is up you might also catch trains moving in the yard across the street as you drink. Several 3' wide by 12' high skinny windows behind the bar afford you views of the actual HM brewing area. Ultimately, I feel like the white walls and minimal design set a perfect stage for guests to experience HM beers and to appreciate their label & merch artwork.

Beer selection is definitely rooted in European tradition. When I visited there were four saisons, a Doppelsticke, a Czech-style Pils, a Belgian-style "White," an oak-fermented table beer, an oak-fermented hoppy Brett beer, a "Dark Mild" and a Pale Ale. There was also a "guest cider" on tap. Actually refreshing to not have hazy NE IPAs and/or huge BA stouts on the menu... Mine was a summer visit and all the beers seemed perfectly suited to the great warm weather. Would definitely be curious to see how (if) the menu changes seasonally. A couple of the saisons were excellent but the stand-outs were the Pils & the Doppelsticke. Holy Mountain is definitely one of those places where you should be adventurous and try some styles that you might not be familiar with. Small selection of HM bottles, some in-house only and some available to go. They also do fills of select taps.

Staff were attentive and helpful.

No food but I believe they're fine with you ordering in.

Great selection of merch sporting minimal, clean designs and Holy Mountain's signature woodland/forest occult themes.

HM should be on any beer tourist's "must see" list for Seattle.
