It has a cloudy orange/copper color. Two solid fingers of head that held on throughout the drinking.
Smells of fruit, orange and banana strongest.
It also tastes like banana and plum. A slight maltiness to it.
Smooth texture, low carbonation and medium body.
Nice drinking Hefe.

This is the best looking and smelling hefe-weisse in the world, at least of the hundreds I've had. Got it in Munich during Oktoberfest.

Poured a beautiful color that looks like golden wheat and caramel fused together with a solid but fluffy head that lasted throughout my drinking experience (6-7 minutes). This will sound weird, but dip your tongue into the head and for the rest of your days you will know what a Hefe-Weisse truly is. I was trying to smell the beer and got too close. Who knows??? Maybe I've stumbled onto a new beer tasting technique...Or not.

The taste is full bodied with the yeasty bread, clove/banana that you expect from a hefe. Really liked it alot. I little dry on the end with a slight hop presence that you retain until your next sip. Moderate malts are present throughout and keeps the brew very well balanced between sweetness and bitterness. No alchohol is present in the taste, but a ,5 liter at 5,5% will remind you that it is there.

Not sure if it is available in the states, but if you see it, buy it. Thanks to Ungespundet for pointing this beer out, and thanks to TTU94 for not drinking it before we left the country.

500ml bottle, MHB: 30.08.11.

It is one of the muddiest looking hefeweissbiers I have ever seen. It is a murky cider color, but with a huge, foamy off-white head that sticks for a while then recedes to some nice lacing. There is turd-like sediment in the bottom of the glass.

The smell is mostly ripe banana, there is a hint of lemon and candy sugar as well.

The flavor has less banana, but it still pretty much dominates. There is a noticeable lemony twang to the flavor and also a hint of clove. The malt can be tasted as well.

It is a good Hefeweissbier in the southeast Bavarian style.

I am admittedly influenced by having lived in Rosenheim for a while, and not being able to get it anywhere else, but this is my favorite beer.
It's banana and cloves as others have said, with a little apple or earthy-cideriness. It's a very satisfying full mouth feel and flavor.

Simply an excellent beer, it would be an insult and a lack of taste to rate this beer under 4.0 - beer has a lingering after taste but it's not over the top and fades away at the correct moment. PERFECT neck (foam) stays in form as a good beer should do. simply excellent.... some, what on the sweet end but it's perfectly done as it has lingering notes of bitterness. I personally rate it 4.5 if it had just a little more of a draft pull feel I would rate it a 5

Poured into weizen glass dark orange amber, already cloudy as it is unfiltered, the swirl added a milky cloud to the mix. Nice thick creamy head, lots of sticky lacing. Aroma of bananas (duh!) and caramel and baked bread. Flavor is mellow and smooth and not bitter, again very bready. Nice unfiltered weizen from Flotzinger!

Hazy dark orange, huge fluffy head, big retention, classic weizen pour, a bit dunkel-ish.
Smells of caramelised banana chips, fresh bread and very faint hops.
Taste is mostly ripe banana, sitting atop some nice wheaty bready malts and caramel. Citrus zest freshens it all up, without any lemon zesty nastiness, some yellow apple adds some flavor. Heavily spiced with clove. Some toastier malts towards the finish, plus a funkier sweetness, like candi sugar. Very faint dry wood in the finish, mildly bitter hops.
Rather chunky, yeasty, and clumsy. Therefore, classic.
A nice weizen, nicely done.

Flötzinger Bräu serves a deep caramel brown Weißbier topped by very creamy off-white head. Very cloudy and dare I say murky looking by all the fresh yeast that accompanies the bottle. The nose starts off with mild phenolic tones. Mostly spicy at first but back upped by a fresh bready yeast aroma. Smelled like I was pulling yeast off a fermenter before pitching on a new batch. Very nice! Then the malt kicks in with a Münchner Malz aroma with hints of caramel, toffee and honey. Overall the aroma was very nice but a bit too subtle. The mouth feel was medium to light and begins with subtle sweetness that’s quickly followed by a nice clean bitterness. Yeast is once again strongly present and taste very clean and bread like. On the backend a slight hop flavor is detectable and nice to round out this Weißbier. A very good Bier but tends to be a little too mild. If you find one buy it. Hopefully this means your somewhere near Rosenheim or München.
