A 330ml can, with a best before date of 7th November 2020. Poured into a snifter glass.

Appearance: Black in colour with a thin brown head that dissipated fairly quickly but left some lacing.

Aroma: Light roast, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, and vanilla, with hints of toffee, caramel and dark fruit.

Taste: Roasty, dark chocolate, coffee, with hints of vanilla and a nice lasting bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: Rich, medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Overall: Enjoyable sipper with nice coffee and dark chocolate notes.

Poured into a pint glass. A viscous opaque dark brown color on the pour. A medium sized tan head formed with a standard pour and promptly settled leaving a persistent thin cap. The aroma was mild with mainly chocolate and fudge notes. Faint coffee and vanilla. The first thing I noticed on the taste was the silky smooth feel. Full bodied but slick and not overly cloying or too dry. This was an old-school assertively bitter imperial stout with dark chocolate, some char, and coffee notes. Floral notes from the hops. I did not appreciate any soy sauce or other off flavors. Overall a rich, full bodied, chocolatey imperial stout. I'm not sure if coffee was added (given the name), but there was not a major presence other than the typical roasted grain flavors. Recommended.

Pours jet black with soft, chocolate colored foam.

Smell is coffee driven, with notes of soy sauce, cocoa, fudge and a hint of spruce.

Taste is roasty with the coffee keeping the limelight with sidenotes of cocoa, soysauce, a bit of bitterness and a hint of booze.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a very nice coffee stout, a little bit thin, though.
