330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10.5%. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate and blackcurrants. Sweet and roasty flavour, with malts, coffee, chocolate, molasses and blackcurrants. Warming mouthfeel.

330ml bottle, their imperial Baltic Porter (first seen over here in the 2016 Craft advent calendar), now mit cassis!
This beer pours a solid black hole, with the scantest of red cola basal edges, and three fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and mildly bubbly brown head, which leaves a few instances of cannonball splash aftermath lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.
It smells of well-roasted caramel malt, bittersweet chocolate, some muddled dark berry fruitiness, cafe-au-lait, black licorice, estery alcohol, and very tame earthy, weedy, and dead floral green hops. The taste is somewhat tart black currants (like the ones my mom always told us not to pick and/or eat when we were kids), bready and doughy caramel malt, medium dark cocoa powder, tanned leather, a touch of free-agent char, day-old coffee, those weirdly spicy Scandihoovian anise candies, and more understated leafy, herbal, and fairly perfumed floral verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite plain in its bored-seeming frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, but for those fruity booze esters always at the edge of the frame. It finishes off-dry, the caramel, chocolate, and dark tanked-up fruitiness gently escorting us off the premises.
Overall, this is a well-made version of the augmented style, as the black currants go a long way in cutting through the weight of the base brew. The 21-proof wowee sauce component is also more or less integrated, and that's always a nice thing too. You could say, I guess, that this offering puts me in a good mood!

Black color with mocha head. Aroma has really nice fudge and brownies with dark fruits. Taste follows with nice fruity notes, slightly tart and also a bit acidic, maybe also from the roasted malt. Medium to full bodied, low carbonation. Overall it's a really nice combination.
