i had much higher hopes for this place to be frank. the space is cool dim lit, long bar on the left side and along the back, low ceilings, mellow energy, and cool records on the walls and tables, a neat theme and a cool relaxed atmosphere overall. the brewhouse is in the back but you can see it through a small window, also neat back there. the rest of the experience outside of the ambiance here was a bit weird. they had maybe 30 tap handles on the wall in here, maybe more, yet only like 8 or so beers flowing, not even all their own. seems like a serious gap in production or something to have this many sitting empty. the beers we did have were far from excellent, with the gose being our collective favorite, but a coffee vanilla brown and a honey ale missing the mark. they had some guest beers in here too, nothing crazy. the service was downright odd, the dude was on a computer the whole time, the place was basically empty and he insisted on us shouting our order out at him, almost never looking up from what he was doing, so totally disengaged as to be off putting. he then left to go in back and we didnt see him again, very strange experience there. if the beer was better i wouldnt have minded much, but with the amateur nature of the beer and the unprofessional service, i left here not real stoked on our experience...

Really enjoyed the set up of this place. Like most of the area breweries, Old Soul is located in a remote industrial park. Not necessarily close to anything else. But inside, this place has some real life. A few high top communal tables are scattered around plus a small couch area in the corner. The bar is pretty large and could hold up to a sizable crowd. Looks like they have the ability to host live music but there was none while I visited. The beer was good enough. Nothing special, though I did enjoy the gose the most. But in the craft-barren area that is Fort Myers Florida, this brewery is a pleasant surprise and a definite must-see if you are in the area.
