Poured into a nonic glass, this ale has a couple fingers of sticky white head atop a very hazy straw colored beer. This is the third of a 4 pack I picked up yesterday. No date on the can but given how quickly everything these guys make flies off the shelf in TC I’m sure it’s fresh.
S-got those big aromatic hops. Lots of hop oil, even a touch of skunk. Can it smell creamy?
T-hop notes are pineapple, grass, herbal, earthy. Oily. Plenty of and oat and barley backbone.
M-plenty of carbonation that is modulated with the big oat body. Slight bitter finish with and oily stickiness
O-i didn’t really notice the skunk factor when I wasn’t paying as much attention with the first 2 cans. It’s only a bit off putting. There is enough other good things going on with this hazy hop bomb to make this still a solid choice. Drekker is quickly becoming a go to brewery for me.

L: hazy to murky straw gold liquid under a 2" white blanket of foam with a very fine bead and good retention

S: smell of a fresh mowed north woods highway median with a hint of pine provides a backdrop for rich citrus and bread crumb aromas

T: Lightly sweet big fruit flavors - citrus, melon, and tangerine - lead to an assertive bitter finish nicely balanced by moderate malt flavors

F: rich, creamy texture with a medium to medium full body and very fine soft carbonation

O: The combination of rich full flavors and luscious creamy texture is hard to beat

Amazing for a 5% ABV beer. Love the appearance and nose. Would like more body, but hard to do with this low of an alcohol content. Would drink a lot of this if I could get it.

This beer pours a hazy yellow with an average head. The aroma is bright and tropical, with tart pineapple, lemon peel and flesh, and melon. The flavor follows suit, with strong acidic pineapple and lemon dominating, with hints of peach and melon complimenting, and a decent bitter kick at the end. The mouthfeel is soft and light, with average carbonation. Overall this is a pretty tasty beer - more bitter than I expected for the flavor profile, but all the more interesting for it.

Got in a trade with GreenBayBA. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours opaquely hazy medium golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, red apple, mango, honeydew, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, red apple, mango, honeydew, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, red apple, mango, honeydew, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Slight increasing hop burn after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic NEAPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Nicely soft feel, and not aggressive. Fantastic Azacca, El Dorado, Idaho 7 profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great clean oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
