Notes:
Designed to showcase to the beauty and splendor of Citra, this beer is built on a mountain of oats and spelt for a decadent and smooth mouthfeel. Bursts with notes of lychee, candied lemon, and peach Bellini. It's royally smooth like the juice of the highest order.

I had high expectations for this brew and it exceeded them. This brew comes out of the can to a beautiful foamy yellow, fully clouded. The aroma is a hazy stench to die for. It goes down super juicy but not at all thick. This is about as good as it gets.
Highly recommended. Drekker is currently my favorite brewer. Almost everything I try from them is amazing.

Canned 5/30/22 (2 weeks ago)
Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (0% clarity) bright and whitish-yellow color with a white head. SRM of 5. (4.50)
Aroma: Moderately strong aromas of pineapple, grapefruit citrus, papaya, mango. A balance between citrus and tropical. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange, pineapple, mango. Balance of citrus and tropical before a sweetish finish. (4.00)
Feel: Larger-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Decently soft, sweet orange juice lingers on the finish. (4.00)
Compared to Drekker Blacklight Syndicate 6/13/22: Pours a lighter and hazier color, stronger aromas. More orange juice, tropical pineapple, papaya, guava, mango. Less citrus rind and pith. A smoother and juicier finish.
Compared to Drekker Evil Natured Robots 10/2022: More tropical and sweet orange citrus. Less citrus rind and pineapple. More smooth and tropical.
Overall: Some good haze here. Some more complex flavors for only using the Citra hop. A nice balance of citrus and tropical flavors here. Citrus, pineapple, tropical, mango. Does a lot of them, without any standing out. Decently soft as well. Finish leans sweet as expected for 8.3%. A little to sweet for my preference, but a pretty nice NEIPA. (Rating: 4.08)

16oz can poured into a 16oz pint glass.
L: Pours a cloudy grey/orange with a thin white head. Edge retention, minimal lacing.
S: Lemon, pineapple, orange, tangerine, mango, papaya. Very tropical.
T: Sweet, tangerine, peach, orange, lemon, various tropical fruit notes. Some malt and light bread at the end. No lingering resin or bitterness. It is citra hop forward but not overpowering.
F: Lightly brisk medium bodied with a semi soft smooth juicy mouthfeel and a medium fast dry finish. It is not parching. There is a very light hint of alcohol. It is nicely carbonated.
O: It is a very tangible tasting double IPA that is not intense and is very easy drinking. Looks and tastes like fresh squeezed juice. Very good even considering the age of my sample. A no nonsense citra hop Double IPA.

Pours a hazy murky golden color. 2 finger fluffy, frothy, white head. Some lacing on the glass.
The Citra hops create a nice pineapple aroma. Strong, and pleasing.
Tons of pineapple here, and there's a slight of pine on the backside, which gave me a hint of an "old school" flavor here.
Crisp feeling. The hops linger in my throat. Full bodied. Clingy.
Good IPA, and if you like IPAs, try this beauty.

Nicely balanced in all respects with an effervescence in the middle of it all. Nicely malty throughout with orange up front followed by a lemony grapefruit finish without the pith. I liked it slightly colder than when it warmed (more of a tropical note when chilled).

16 oz can into a tulip glass.
Pours an opaque yellow gold color with a finger of sudsy white head. The head leaves minimal lacing as it settles into a paper thin sheet. Great color, weak head (nothing worse than getting weak head right guys).
The aroma is extremely pungent, bringing notes of overripe mangoes, orange creamsicle, grapefruit, and pineapple. Slightly herbaceous and earthy.
The flavor brings a ton of peach notes, as well as mangoes, pineapple, grapefruit and papaya. Finishes piney and grassy. Pretty good balance.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth, creamy and dry. There's a bit of alcohol warming.
Overall, I'd say this is a very good NEIPA. It's fruity and sweet, yet subtly bitter and earthy. It doesn't do anything to stand out in an ocean of New England IPA's, but it's absolutely a good representation of the style.

Poured from a pint can into a tulip.
Pours light orange nearly straw gold and cloudy/opaque.
Aromas of grapefruit, mango, pineapple, chive, and passion fruit.
The flavors are more elusive and vague. Ruby red grapefruit for sure backed by general “tropical” notes. It’s less sweet and better balanced than expected with a nice tangy bitter and mildly boozed finish. I just wish the flavors had more clarity.
Great drink ability and feel for a DIPA. Smooth and creamy but only a shade beyond medium bodied and pleasantly drying at the finish.
Another solid Drekker. Hits all of the right notes with good balance and hides its booze well. It would be special if the flavor was less muddled.
