Poured on tap in a clear plastic cup (because if the pandemic and it’s an outdoor beer garden). Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Smells of sweet citrus and slight pineapple. Tastes of citrus with a nice pine and tropical fruit note. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Elevator music of beer. Inoffensive to everyone, favorite of no one. Attractive light hazy gold color. Complex pineapple and juice flavors with decent malt backbone, but too soft and bland to be truly interesting. I would never turn this down, but never seek it out either.

Pours a bright yellow in color with a head that quickly gives way to some lacing. Flavor profile includes passion fruit and some light grapefruit fruit note. Malt works with the hops to keep this from having too much bite. The persistent yet light carbonation rounds it out.

Can gifted to me by Eric at Old Chicago.
Canned December 30th 2019.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with over a finger of foam.

It smells hoppy in a tropical fruit way. Mostly pineapple but also grapefruit and some mango.

Taste matches. Pineapple, grapefruit, mango seems to be absent. Some dankness to it, no onions.

Smooth mouthfeel, smooth drinking.

It's nice and I betcha in a fresher state, it would impress me more.

Pineapple juice haze, lemon yellow. Tight and rocky one-finger white, fluffy foam head. Sticky lacing and decent retention

Tropical aromas of pineapple, mango, Fuji apple, kiwi and tangerine.

Full on pineapple and kiwi, mango and apple intermediary notes. Light, bitter tang on the backend

Creamy, soft and fluffy medium umami, low carbonation. Sticky and sweet.

Pretty standard hazy, good workhorse for what it’s worth. Won’t seek out but glad to try it.

Grabbed this 4 pack at the last minute as I was headed to checkout, I've passed it up a few times but now it's time to give it a roll.
Canned 3/31/20, into Odell Teku.

Pours a juicy pale blonde body with a creamy head of 2 fingers, receding somewhat rapidly to a thin ring. Lace left on the sides.

Smells of orange juice and slight breakfast grapefruit. Love it. Makes the mouth water.

Flavor is of pithy grapefruit and pilsner malt with some slight orange and tangerine tones underneath. Some balanced pineapple also surfaces. The finish leaves flavors of orange pith and grapefruit pith on the tongue. It's definitely juicy and has some good vibes going, I just wish it were sweeter and heavier. 4 is about right for this category.

Feel is juicy and acidic as all get out, with what seems like pulp. Mild heat, nearly undetectable, and a nice pithy finish with slight resins.

Overall a very enjoyable beer with lots of great attributes. It's not a killer NE IPA, but it is a rather good one. I'd probably buy it again.

Price paid : $10.99 / 4 pack
Would buy again : absolutely

Pours that hazy sunshine color I associate with Mosaic-hopped beers and sports a foamy white head, all leading to a beer with loads of dank hop aromas, especially mango and pineapple. Officially salivating.

The taste is packed with the mango and pineapple flavors, and there’s some berry flavors as well. There’s moderate bitterness to accompany the soft mouthfeel. Everything I’ve had from Maplewood has been done REALLY well, so I’ll continue to seek their stuff.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 11/25/19, had 1/14/20.

Pours a bright and hazy paler yellow orange, with a one inch foamy head with good retention and some foamy lacing. Aromas of orange, pineapple, some mango, grain, light yeast and malt, light lemon. Flavors of orange, pineapple, light mango and lemon, light malt, grain- oats(?) on the finish when warm. A little dank, hop bitterness only makes a brief appearance. Smooth, refreshing, a very good light body, well carbonated.

Great hop blend, but flavors are more subdued than expected. Well made and enjoyable.

Served on draft at BWs in Northbrook, IL.

oOverall this is a tasty beer and a solid representation of the NEIPA style, which is very overcrowded with “meh.” These days.

The aroma isn’t very strong, and the mouthfeel is a bit astringently. However the taste is great. Juicy hops, nice malty sweetness.

I would definitely order this again.

A: The beer is rather hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left lacy wisps of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrus, mangos, and passionfruit are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste has flavors of citrus, mangos, and passionfruit along with additional notes of stone fruit.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer definitely lives up to its name and in some aspects tastes like an adult version of tropical fruit juice.

Thanks to barrelbeer for this extra 16 oz. can, for ne’er have I sampled this brewery. Or many things I’d like to sample. But that’s for another novel.

The pour is unclear mango, with one of the more aggressive NE IPA noses I can recall. Waves of lemon, mango, citrus caress the sinuses. Lovely.

Son of Juice is pungent. Nose = taste: lemon, mango, citrus are strong, with added shots of sawgrass, wheat, & pineapple. Moderate sweetness doesn’t drown the pleasantry, & a low, soft, savage, walker bite of bitterness at the end saves it from the land of saccharine & candy corn. Juicy! And easy to sip, unlike some canker-sore-causing members of the genre.

Excellent IPA.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Dated 12/20/19.

Pours hazy golden-white with a medium sized head that collapses and leaves a small but continuous curtain of lacing. Smell is powerful, detectable at arm's length, almost. Up close, it's a bright, fresh, juicy bouquet. A little floral hop resin and biscuit in the background.

Taste is more tropical juicy; not sure what the actual change is, but doesn't taste as bright and fresh as it smells. More pith bitterness to finish it off.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly filmy. Overall, very nice beer.

real pleasant hazy, 45 degree pour yield 1/4 inch froth. Initial grapefruit fizzle, flattens out as the liquid decreases. Sludge haze blocks hand sightings through the liquid and the contents slip down the throat without complications. I enjoy this swill and will purchase another 4-pack within my normal rotation.

Good beer but one would be enough.

You can find it all over the city and it might be one of the most solid beers I've tried in the past couple years. Not super hazy, but enough to satisfy any craving there. Juicy for sure. No heavy after taste, very drinkable. Various citrus fruits going on in the flavor.

Bottled 9/2/16; drank 9/15/16 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a big, noisy bright white head; a thick curtain of frothy lace.

Watermelon candy & dry pine notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Watermelon jolly rancher & orange juice flavors up front; mild pine & faint dry grass notes on the finish.

Too sweet AND too biting; this is drinkable but quite unsatisfying. This is surely no NE IPA...

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a nice soft finish.

O - Super tasty NEIPA. Bright juiciness with a light resinous finish.

16 ounce can, dated 12/16/18. Poured into a tulip.
Pours a pale orange, hazy, with about a finger of foam. Above average amount of sticky lacing on the glass.
Aromas of pineapple, lemon peel, tangerine, grass.
Flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, light guava, hay or grass, light pine tree. Not so much juicy as implied.
The mouthfeel is going to knock down my ratings here. Thin, watery, grainy.
At a sessionable level, the beer is not bad but it’s nowhere near what the can leads you to believe. I’ll finish off the four pack but won’t revisit.

Pours an opaque sunburst orange with a finger of white foam. Head retention is good with good lacing. Aroma is tangerine, papaya, guava, and orange with very little malt behind. Flavor profile is tangerine, papaya, guava, orange, and mango. Malts are hidden under the staircase on this one, but come through as nutty, toasty, and bready. Together, it becomes very tropical fruit forward, but not excessively sweet. Mouth feel has quite a bit of grain with a silty smoothness at the end. It is a medium thickness. Overall, big tropical fruits, but not much else.

Flavor is juicy, fruity, floral. Almost no bitterness, just smooth.

Mouthfeel, light, fluffy, almost creamy.

Would definitely revisit again
