341 ml bottle.

A-Very nice orange amber colour with very good bubbles and a nice light beige head.

S- Fruity hops. Some dusty carbonation at first. Caramel malt.

T- Dissappointing wateriness up front, but this fades as the beer warms and flavours start to come through. Pleasant bitter finish. Middle includes pleasant caramel and fruity flavours.

MF- Good body, but nothing special to note here.

D- I was worries this would be too hopped, but the balance was quite nice. Good mealtime flavourful ale. I had it with a home made Indian curry, with which it paired well.

Deep cloudy amber color with lots of activity. Slightly creamy light brown 1 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with a good amount of lacing. Flavors of peppercorn, red ale spices, caramel, roasted grains, herbal spices. Nicely balanced sweetness and leafy bitterness. Smooth full body with prickly and crispy carbonation. Medium strength finish that lingers for a moment with spicy fresh grassy hops, butterscotch and bread feel. Very fresh and filling. Tasty flavors, well intensified. A cross between IPA and red ale. Overall very good quality craft.

341 ml served in a room temp glass..

Appearance - Very attractive looking beer, the beer pours with a lot of head that is an off white/brown base colour. Head appears to have a lot of carbonation as you can hear it sizzling! The beer is a gorgeous auburn colour, however, little hard to tell the amount of carbonation happening.

Smell - The beer has a citrus base to the smell, it appears to be orange. I also smell a hint of caramel in this beer.

Taste - a very good tasting beer. the citrus comes through on the aftertaste. The caramel has a slight taste initially. There is a slight spice taste to it as well. The aftertaste is decent, lingers for a little bit of time.

Mouthfeel - The carbonation isnt strong in the mouthfeel, i would have liked to seen a bit more. The taste remains the same and i actually found the aftertaste went away a bit.

Drinkability - Very good beer and i would buy again, i was hoping or more in the overall taste, but to say the least it was good.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

Randomly got this at a beer store in Quebec, pleasantly surprised!
Pours a nice clear amber/red with a very creamy one finger head with some light lacing. Nose isn't too hoppy at all, has a decent malt backbone with a distinctive quebec yeast nose.

Taste is spot on for an English IPA, it's very well balanced but has a clear hop note to it. I'd say the abv is a bit low for an IPA, but it works well. Mouthfeel is pretty rich and creamy with a bit of a high amount of carbonation for an english style. real easy drinking.

This beer pours a clear dark copper hue, with a finger of soapy white head, that dissipates after a few minutes, leaving consistent lace around the glass. It smells of bready, biscuit malt, and herbal hops. The taste is biscuit and caramel malt, a bit of sour citrus, and weedy, earthy hops. The carbonation is moderate, the body is medium heavy, and it finishes off-dry, some roasted caramel essence lingering. An alright English IPA.

Had one yesterday and enjoyed it.

Poured into tall Heineken glass.

A- Deep reddish copper with a creamy, very light brown two finger of head. Enough frothy lacing to complete the look.

S- Caramel, nectar cola and a bit of tropical fruit hop.

T- Bitter right from the start. A bit of boiled/burnt veggie and wood in the middle and finish.

M- Smooth almost feels like it was nitro poured when you swish it around, But pour gently. I noticed mouthfeel wasn't as good on the second, rough, down the middle pour. Close to high carbonation. Dry finish.

D- Drinks great. Just that little boiled veggie taste which is a bit off-putting.

I like this.

Pours a solid, creamy, light-tan head with good retention and good lacing. Nice dark-amber in colour, a bit cloudy.

Caramel, roasted malt, nutty with a touch of hops. Doesn't smell much like an IPA but it smells great.

This is an IPA? I don't know about that. Pretty weak tasting. Watery roasted malt takes up most of the flavour with just a touch of hops in the background. Watery, boring, doesn't really taste like much of anything. Bitter aftertaste.

Too watery for my taste. Light mouthfeel with light carbonation.

I think I'd rather drink a Keith's than one of these; it tastes like drinking dark, bitter water. Not even worth trying, in case you're wondering. I'm feeling pretty let down...this beer looked and smelled great.

Well, this is a good IPA. Although I prefer more "hoppiness" in IPA. I want more hop and malt in the taste when I drink an IPA. Hops I can taste although the last 6-pack, the taste is not great at all!!

Anyway, the head was good. The mouthfeel was good also although not my last 6-pack... Maybe they are not consistent with their beer!

This one pours a light amber color, with a small head and lots of lacing.

This smells slightly citrusy and mostly bitter pine and tea hops. There’s also a strong biscuity aroma as well.

This is a fairly prototypical English IPA, but that’s never gonna be a style that exactly moves me. It’s quite malty, but with a gripping bitterness and a very light citrusy fruitiness.

This is light bodied, crisp and very clean, with a good level of carbonation.

This is pretty standard but I enjoyed it.

A pretty good IPA. Didn't blow my mind but certainly worth drinking. I wish it had more citrus notes. It's also a bit heavy for an IPA. This was the second best beer I tried from the 4-variety pack I had from this brewery.

Had this one tap at a great beer bar in Montreal called Vices Et Vesca. The beer itself was pretty good. Nice lacing, retention and a dark amber color.

Smells of light floral (English?) hops, sweet malt and a faint fruitiness.

Tastes of mild hop bitterness (not enough for my liking), more malt taste than anything. Not bad but there were better beers to fill my mug with.

very limpid beer, with a shy golden amber in colour, very carbonated, with no head at all.

when I opened the bottle a strong cereal smell came out. smell is of shy hops with a shy caramel flavours.

taste is buttery, and the touch in mouth is watery, butterscotch flavours followed by this water take.

Either a bad bottle or it is a version of Alexander Keith's IPA

Poured a medium copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a sturdy sweet malt and a fruity hop.

The taste consisted of sweet and mildly earthy malts and a fruity and lightly citrus hop.

The mouthfeel was of average fullness for the style.

Overall a tasty and seemingly authentic EIPA.

Poured from a 341ml bottle.

Hard pour doesn't yield more than 1 finger of foam above a copper body, some lacing but not much. Bitterness is a bit vegetal and uses the tea-like characteristics from the hops mixed with some light minerals. Not bad overall but nothing more.

12oz Bottle

Appearance - The beer pours a clear amber/reddish colour with a fair size fizzy beige head. There appears to be an above average amount of carbonation showing. There isn't a whole lot of lacing showing and the head only stuck around for a few minutes before it was gone.

Smell - a rustiness, caramel, hops, citrus juice, malts

Taste & Mouth - The beer has an average amount or carbonation, and the most noticeable flavours are hops, malts and a rustiness. There is also notes of lemon juice and the beer also has a yeast and fruit ester flavour. The beer finishes with a bittersweet aftertaste.

Drink - I can't put my finger on it, but something just isn't right with this beer. It is one of the better beers made by L'Alchimiste, but unfortunately that isn't say much. It surely doesn't compare to the American IPA's and I would not seek it out again.

Bottle- Thanks Milos! Deep amber with an off white froth. Nose of intense C-hops and dark bread, some grapefruit too. Tastes of c-hops and leafy greens, bready malts, some toast, and then the taste fades to a grainy sort of funk which takes over. I like the beer overall, but the strange aftertaste makes it a bit weird. Grainy yeasty finish. Good overall.
