Secret hop ingredient to this one, and I'm frustratingly not picking it out.

Very pale straw yellow with a slight haze (not cloudy) and a thick eggshell white head of meringue that rises up to a half inch and lingers long. Low aroma of tangerine and lemon. Flavors of subtle biscuity malt, slight graininess, subtle toffee and bright fresh hops. Citrusy upfront, some pine, orange zest lingers. Semi-assertive bitterness against subtle malt sweetness. Notes of apricot and plum emerge as it warms. Smooth and even mouthfeel. A fine peppery bite lingers. Very good beer.

First off, this is a brilliantly named product. Isn't all beer but a vague reassurance that everything will be alright?

But I digress…

Vague Reassurances pours a lovely orange-yellow. Mine had about two fingers of milky white head when the waitress brought it out with plenty of visible carbonation. The nose was pleasantly hoppy and brought to mind lighter tropical fruits such as mango as well as some peach. Following the nose, the taste wound up being something of a peach-juice bomb, though it was expertly balanced with hop bitterness and a little bit of dank mustiness. It tasted similar to wet-hop beer to me with its faint mustiness and fresh hop scent - lent itself well to the rainy fall night I consumed it on.

Overall I was very satisfied with this beer, and I likely would have ordered it again if I hadn't kicked the keg with my original order. Kent Falls brews some great IPAs and this might be my favorite yet; the peachiness and fresh hop presence make it stand out enough in what has become the most ubiquitous style in the up and coming craft beer scene.

This is reported as retired on BA today, but was newly tapped today at a local ale house. I enjoyed a bright, hazy yellow tap pour (until the power went out -then a darker version). Aroma was of tropical fruit. The taste was led by citrus- hops and had pronounced floral notes. This was quite enjoyable and I will visit again soon to enjoy another.

500 mL bottle. Hazy orange with an enormous white head. The hop aroma is interesting. Smells fruity, a little floral, and apple. Tastes more soapy and resiny up front. Bitterness builds quickly. Light sweetness. Fruity apple flavor comes back a little bit in the finish. High carbonation that detracts from the other flavors. Not a clue what this hop is. Certainly smells good, whatever it is.

Whitish yellow color -- quite cloudy. Moderate head but it lasts, leaving plenty of streaks on the glass.

Mild and balanced nose. I get freshly opened hop pellet bag.

Smooth, creamy OJ start to the taste. The swallow brings out a citrusy bitterness. Easy to drink without any extreme elements. Full bodied with ample carbonation. The aftertaste, while lasting, is subtle.

Tasted at home having purchased from the brewery earlier today.

Appearance: Not a great color. Hazy and kind of "musty" looking. One of my co-tasters described it as having the appearance of old pee. Couldn't disagree.
Aroma: Great aroma! More floral than citrus or piney. Delicate in nature but relatively robust.
Flavor: Really strong hop backbone and lots of linger on this one.
Body: Well carbonated. Appropriate for the style.

Certainly reassuring, as another American IPA that lures you in on the nose and then punches you in the face with flavor.
