Stopped in here for lunch during a family vacation in Vermont. Pleasant location, with a lot of outdoor seating near the water. The indoor area seemed quite nice, a bit of a modern feel with fireplaces, but there were very few people actually in there (not unsurprising in July).
The wait staff were fairly attentive, and understanding of our lack of French skills. The food menu was reasonably varied, primarily bar/comfort type of food. I had a delicious poutine with duck confit, which was the best meal of my trip. My wife also thought that her burger excellent, and the kids really enjoyed the children's offerings.
The beer selection was OK; St. Ambroise stands out as the main selection, other than their own house brews. I sampled their red ale which was fairly good, but the stout was much tastier; sorry I
didn't have a couple more of them.
Magog seems to have a good selection of restaurants for a fairly small town; I would highly recommend sampling this spot if you are in town.

Came here with my family and my father-in-law last Friday night.

Coming in, it's pretty empty inside as everybody is on the terrace. Looks trendy and touristy a little. Dimly lit inside with lots of black and gray. A fake fireplace with some couches also compliment the decor. Lots of signs and specials for Corona, Sangria and the like so you know who they're primordially catering to though they did have St-Ambroise here and there. Went out to the terrace which has a nice view. A little tiki bar at the back with some grills round things out.

Service was quite fast and courteous. Our waiter was actually part owner and was very friendly and took time to chat with us. Be warned that there is a train track right next to it so from time to time there will be a train passing.

I was disappointed that they were out of their IPA & Stout. other beers included a scotch ale, a bitter, a red ale and a blonde lager (which i ended up taking). I found my meat patty in my burger to be rather small and the advertised bacon was actually little bacon bits(!) mixed in with the cheese instead of strips, not cool. The calamari entree was good though and my wife and father-in-law enjoyed their cheese fondue.

Overall, i kind of enjoyed the place though i found my food to be average and the beer i had was less than that. I consider more of a resto-bar than a brewpub.
