12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium creamy light tan head that retains fairly well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is roasty bitter malts with a little stale coffee.

The flavor is sweet roasty chocolate malts with a lingering bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nice lower abv roasty bitter dark ale.

This tastes like most black ales. Like the smoothness that balances the dark almost burnt malt. Smooth and sessionable.

L: pours deep dark brown with ruby highlights under a lacy 1" tan cap with moderate retention

S: smells like grain and chocolate with no harsh or burnt roast aromas

T: Slightly tart upfront with traces of fruit and dark grains. The grains have no harsh or burnt roast flavors

F: medium body and medium high carbonation.

O: a flavorful dark ale with the malt profile of a Schwartzbier

Beautiful dark, dark brown color. Multi-hued tan head; not overly thick but not skimpy at all. Head slowly fades out to a film but finger thick lacing remains for the duration. Feel is a little light, but taste has a nice combination of malt and hops. Overall a very nice summer beer.

With 4.5 AVB it is not quite a session ale but very mild and drinkable.

From the Brewers of Yooper Ale. Dark brew to be enjoyed in the woods let's give it a whirl. Popping the top I get a very sweet yet biscuity waft of malt. Pours to a an opaque black with a tan head. On the taste this brew has a mild hop bite up front then a moderately roasted maltiness followed by a semi bitter finish and some light cocoa. Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side but the flavor is there. Almost a black IPA in my opinion.

Pours dark brown or black. Small, light tan head that fades quickly.

Smells of roasted malt, light chocolate, coffee. Hint of hops

Lighter in taste. Light rust, chocolate and coffee. Follows with light bitter. Finishes mostly dry with hint of smokey/char. Medium body with lighter dude of medium carbonation
