Left back side of the bottle reads "05/02/2018."
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a mild chill hazy burnt orange/yellow color with a little off white foamy head swiftly sliding off to leave some concave lace sliding with the sips.
The aroma meshed together some sweet dry grassy to sour Bretty funk. Sweet and tart citrus ride the underneath. Seems to come across more like lemons than citrus as it warms. Mild oaky sweet to sour whiff.
The flavor leaned towards the funky sweet to tart side pushing the grassy edge forward through some hay/flower seed-character. Not as dry as I thought it would be in the aftertaste (starting to think just because I find dry aspects in certain aromas doesn't mean it's particularly going to hang in the aftertaste too), this is a soothing "chill" sort of easy going dryness with citrus pith and flower seed here.
The mouthfeel portrays a medium to full body with a mild sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. Finish was super nice with some juicy citrus but also some pithy dryness and a hay/flower seed like character.
Overall, really nice oak fermented saison well worthy of coming back to.

S= great barnyard funk, firm oak
A= Opaque golden straw, off white head lingers
T= bready malt, musty funk, earthy, oak
B= Great, light but not thin, carbonation is perfect and provides more body. At 7.2% and OG of 15.3p, this finished at 1.5, but seems fuller than that
O= great Brett Saison.

A: Pours a hazy golden/yellow color. A dense two finger white head forms with good retention and some light lace. Be careful pouring because this was a slight gusher with lots of chunky and floaty yeast particles settled at the bottom. Though manageable if if handled with some awareness.
S: Bright fruity aromas up front. Tart, ripe pears and apples. A wonderful musky/funky yeast with a touch of vanilla. Assuming from the oak. Everything is really well balanced.
T: The bright fruity flavor carries through. Tart, lightly acidic pears and apples that are slightly overripe. Funky musty yeast character that is amazing. White pepper, some light vanilla sweetness, then the ripe fruits come back into play. Amazing balance, but even more so everything intermingles and just works.
M/O: A light to medium body Very effervescent and crisp. Smooth at the same time. Everything is really bright, textured and pops. So enjoyable to drink. With the amazing balance I can keep coming back to this again and again.

The oak aging, Brett, and souring bacteria all worked excellently here. Not overly sour at all. In fact more of a tart fruity character that I love. This was hit out of the park, and if a certain other brewery released this in limited bottles for everyone to line up in, the scores would be many degrees higher. This reminds me of some of Jolly Pumpkins better offerings. Well done all around.

First beer from these guys, I'm really enjoying it. Has all the hallmarks of a saison, like the murky golden yellow color and the ever-so-slightly off-white fluffy head.

The Brett is REALLY present on the nose, and it's every bit as present on the taste. There's a mild hop character, but the Brett cranks up the funk and elevates this a couple of notches.

I bought this Farmhouse Ale a few days ago and I thought it was good. It was perhaps a bit thin but it was funky, citrusy, and somewhat hoppy.

Look: semi-clear golden with a very thick bubbly white head.

Aroma: It has a mild funky (in a good way) citrusy aroma

Taste: The taste is yeasty, funky, grapefruit, orange, lemon, not too tart. Would be great on a hot day, which it isn't, but good enough.

Feel: It is light and perhaps a bit thin, but it is a great thirst quencher and it is still tasty.

Draft at craft and growler in dallas. Gatorade yellow, cloudy. No aroma, thinner than water. The flavor is weak, very mild. Overall this is a fine thirst quencher, but at 12 dollars a bottle, gtfo

I hate to stand out, but this is far better than the reviews to this point. Or am I drinking the same beer? Cloudy with a great head. Not much lace. Smell is huge Brett. Flavor is fruit, Brett and wheat. Mouthfeel rather dense. All in all, glad I picked this up, even at a very high price point for 500 ml.

on tap at braindead brewing, this is a real neat beer. amazing for a brewery i have never heard of before. i love this. a wheaty hazy and thick pale beer, with a creamy white head and some real density to it. the nose here is all brett, funky, but not footy or musty, its mature and refined, completely fermented, and its hoppy too. juicy citrus, mandarin orange and lemon come to mind, and with the grassy funk, its really quite complex. the wheat malt is bold and super flavorful too, so all of the elements are in play here. maybe a hint of citrus tang to it, but its not acidic or sour in any way. reminds me of something jester king would do, with a layered brett culture like this. super raw on the mouthfeel, unfiltered obviously, but this is almost gritty, thick for sure, a lot bigger than it probably should be, but i like it being robust and sort of rugged. creamy feeling and dry at the same time, a cool back and forth in terms of texture. i really like how yeast driven this is, its a cool mix of bretts, and what the beer lacks in refinement, it more than makes up for with uniqueness of flavor. great accompaniment to their smoked brisket chili here!
