A golden export-style ale made from only malt and hops, no fillers or adjuncts. A brilliant golden colour gives a “sparkling” appearance as the gas escapes from the glass. The natural sweetness of the malt is perfectly balanced by the bitterness derived from the hops. This beer represents the way blonde ales were made 100 years ago.

Served in a nonic glass
LOOK: (3.5 / 5) Pours a nice, crystal clear, pale straw colour. A bone-white head fades quickly to a thin film. No real lacing left. Some carbonation clings to the glass, but it's gone fairly quickly after the pour.
SMELL: (3.0 / 5) Matls are crisp with a corn-derived sweetness. Hops have a grassier, dry-hopped character. Not a particularly strong or interesting smell.
FLAVOUR: (3.0 / 5) Similar to the nose. Crisp malt and the same corn sweetness. Hop bitterness counteracts this sufficiently, but its only really the bitterness and not a lot of flavour. I would have liked to see a stronger hop flavor. There is a balance achieved, but the flavors were fairly weak in general.
FEEL: (3.0 / 5) Watery body with higher carbonation. This supports the hop bitterness at the end with the perception of dryness.
Drinkability is really the best feature. It is quite refreshing and easy to put down - a good session beer for a hot day. However, there is not a lot of character.

A nice "lawnmower" beer. Not overpowering and very drinkable. A nice, go to ale.

If wanting to grab a quick 6pack to take to a friends, this is great beer. Tasty but not overwhelming, a nice change from the mainstream. Highly recommended, will purchase again!
