On our way to Jackie O's Alex had us stop by this highly rated place to see if it lived up to the hype. Driving through the area and pulling up the place I thought we were in for a huge disappointment. A drab and dreary town, the store looks like a local liquor store. As we make our way in and find the beer we find about 6 rows of beers. The selection is really good with great quality. Most foreign staples but super light on Cantillon and other lambics. The local selections is great, even had Weyerbacher Reserva. They easily had about 200 beers and the highlight is the tons of singles pulled from six packs. The service was non-existentant as they were really busy. Annoyingly, they had a delivery and they had a back door buzzer going for about 10 minutes and it was really annoying.

You aren't going to find anything super rare here but if you are in the area its worth the stop if you want to tick a bunch of local singles.

 

Great selection, singles, warm, cold, you name it. A lot of regional beers pls the foray of macro brewery beers. Liquor available in the north half of store. Prices are at State minimum.

This place has the best selection of beer/wine/mead/liquor I, and many people can find. Anything you can think of 90% chance they have it. If you happen to come across something that is old/bad they take it seriously, and pull anything as soon as they are notified. They are always willing to listen to your opinions, as "how can you sell a beer, if you don't know it". Always willing to try to get in any requests you may have. Due to an issue with the State, they can only take CASH for liquor... But they have an ATM with a $1 Fee (sometimes out of service because its out of money). Seriously, best place to find anything. Employees are always willing to help, and even learn.

This place has a huge selection of beer. The prices were OK. The staff that was there, had no knowledge about beer. They didn't even have any idea about beer. Whoever owns this place please train your staff!

Great place in Dayton, OH...with a few negatives as well. Vibe has to take a hit, because it feels more like a gas station convenience store, but there is a lot of great beer here and a very good variety. Decent prices as well. However, you need to watch the bottle dates here. Some hoppy beers sit on the shelves way too long...otherwise I would probably have given it 4.75 for quality. Was able to pick up a lot of great local/regional beer, and you can get a good selection of wider US and international beers.

Wow. 10 minutes from my house. A bazillion singles. Plenty of everything. Home brewing needs next door. Bought my Oscar Blues Ten Fidy from here for the BA online tasting event. Awesome.

A place full of beer, that you've probably already had. At one point in time, this place was a real must visit. The times have started to pass this place by a little.

Really nice selection. This store is not in the greatest area of town, but not to where I felt unsafe. Staff wasnt very attentive but that not a huge negative for me. I like being left alone and wondering through the aisles like a kid in a candy shop. Prices were very fair. Must stop if your in the area.

 

 

Amazing selection!

The location is a little out of the way and the building is slightly run down. But, oh my goodness, what a craft beer selection! Great collection of Ohio and Midwestern beers; a huge section of Belgians, including many lambics; a German section; a British section; a California section... sweeping your eyes across the crowded rows of bottles from around the world is enough to throw a beer lover into sensory overload. The selections are not just the usual suspects, either; there are plenty of small breweries and obscure beers from well-known breweries. The prices are also amazing and I honestly don't know how they can keep them so low. For instance, I saw bottles from The Bruery that were cheaper than I can get them at home in Southern California.

I have traveled the world on business and seek out the best beer shops wherever I go--this is the best I've ever seen.

 

 

This might well be the best beer store in the state of Ohio. It's certainly on the short list of bottle shops here.

The location isn't anything special. Older, small retail store, in a decent, but not high end real estate.

So many beers. Locals, imports, belgian, german, danish...

The staff knows their beer. No small thing, and no small task in a place with this much selection.

One of my favorite beer stores, period. If I'm anywhere close, I make sure to stop by. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection as well. Don't be fooled by the exterior - every possible space inside is taken up by shelves!

Even though it's a really cramped, cluttered store it's because they have a huge selection of craft, imports & meads available. Stopped in 2x in a week & both times I was approached by different workers asking me if I needed help. They also were fairly upfront & forward with info about what was "behind the counter" if you asked about a similar beer

I was shocked at the huge selection, especially on imports. The place is a tad cramped and has a slight cluttered feel but that's fine with me, it feels as if there's a hidden gem around every turn. I found some beers dating back as far as 4 years and some really old IPAs so they are slacking a bit there, but make up for it with good customer service. Chatted with a clerk for awhile and talked beer and got some suggestions and actually bought a preaged strong ale. Over all it's an awesome store with good employees and beer that's worth a trip to if your anywhere near.

 

 

 

I was recently in Dayton Ohio to attend a conference at Wright Patterson AFB.
Trying to find a decent beer place with Yelp, and this place popped up.

Whoah! This place is incredible. Every kind of beer, from exotic craft beers to imports - I literally spent two hours just walking around and taking it all in. It was like a library of beer, mind blowing!
The prices were reasonable, I bought a mix a six of beers and took them back to my hotel room, it actually made the trip worthwhile!

Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and I have to admit that I look forward to returning to Ohio for future conferences, if for no other reason than to visit this incredible store.

If you're in the dayton ohio area, definitely worth the side trip - you will be amazed.

Love the selection. However on releases the limits are very strict. It's understandable being such a big supplier to the community but it is so well known it is hardly worth waiting in a line for a bomber or 2 - 12 oz. I would rather reach out to other stores that either hold or willing to part with more to make waiting worth my time. However this place has everything you need and more. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well.

Drove over from Indiana after reading about this place. Excellent selection of local and out of state craft beer. Huge selection of singles. Wasn't busy when I was there but would be very hard to get around as the aisles were narrow. Staff was friendly. Will definitely make the trip back again!

 

 

 

 

 

BPS is the best in the Dayton area.

They've got an extensive craft selection that is constantly rotating.

Many of these are local or Ohio-based beers.

Prices are reasonable with many bottles for $2-3 each allowing you to build your own mix-n-match six pack for only a little more than the cost of a pre made six pack from any other store.
