If you like hop aroma, flavor, and a clean – crisp – balanced bitterness, you will love this beer. Our special double dry hopping regime takes place in the aging tank as well as the serving tank. Simcoe and Amarillo hops render incredible floral and citrus aromas. Special English floor malted barley provides the backbone necessary to round out this fruity, unfiltered, session-like IPA.

Modest head which settles to rim bubbles. Plenty of tiny spots on the glass. Hazy, dark gold color

Floral hop dominates the toasted crystal malt.

The pale malt base is complicated with a good dose of toasted sweeter malt. The hop is stronger but shows up mainly during and after the swallow. The aftertaste is a pleasant blend of both main elements.

On cask at the Brewhouse bar. Pours looking just like the original, except the head is slightly fluffier at first. However as the head reduces it becomes thinner, with bigger bubbles, but never quite goes away.

Nose brings out citrus hops, pine, sweet malt, and wood.

Taste follows, west coast IPA flavor, but the hops are a bit tuned down in this one. However, the flavor has really done well in the cask here. still quite good. Some wood, and a bit of extras sweetness.

Mouthfeel is beautifully smooth here, carbonation is ever so slightly toned down, and the bitterness is nice.

Drinkability is really second to none here, as this one goes down very very well. Super slammable, and watching it pump out of the cask handle just adds to the atmosphere of the brew.

Overall a very pleasant beer to drink, and one that is a go to for me at the Bhouse. Almost always have something on cask, which is actually quite rare in this state, and something to be appreciated. Rock it if you get the chance. Good beer. Good. Beer.

Draft, poured into a shaker pint glass. Pours a hazy light to medium yellow-golden amber with a tow finger white head and good lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, pineapple and light bready malt. Flavor follows with good piney and citrus hops, citrus and bready malt. Medium bodied. A nicely made IPA with better than average complexity to the hops and good malt support. The hops are fresh and spicy. A very nice draft IPA.

A half-pint glass served from the cask at the Brewhouse on 10/11/2009.

Appearance: Good white head, gradually collapsing but never quite disappearing. Beer itself looked a little cloudy/turbid. This particular cask did not seem to have dropped bright.

Aroma: Wonderful hop aroma, strong in west coast hops like Centennials. No doubt about the dry hopping!

Taste: Fresh, clean, with lots of hoppiness overlaying a bit of biscuity malt. Excellent and moreish.

Mouthfeel: Light and smooth on the palate.

Drinkability: Exceptionally drinkable, like most cask ales. I could go through many pints of this one.

Overall: Fresh cask conditioned ale. It doesn't get amy better than this.

On tap at the brewery, Anchorage, AK. Pours hazy, deep golden with long lasting, foamy, white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt, orange marmalade and ripe fruit. Body is full and crisp. Taste is similar to aroma. Finish is long and hoppy. Well made IPA.

Poured into a shaker pint from a growler picked up during their amazing $5 growler Tuesday special. Pours a 1 finger head that dissipates pretty quickly. Bouquet is really nice. Floral and citrus. Aroma lacks malty-ness. Tastes bitter, but still has some sweet citrus to it. Finishes piney w/ resin. After a few sips, I started tasting cardboard? for some reason. Something wrong with the tap? No idea, but I couldn't stop tasting cardboard after that. Either way, decent IPA, but not the best style at Glacier Brewhouse

I am always in the market for good IPAs. Had three on my Alaska trip. This is one of them. On tap at the McKinley Lodge in Denali. Pours a cloudy orange color. Good white head and thick lacing. Solid IPA smell. This one is nice and bitter with plenty of citrus (grapefruit) in both the aroma and the taste. The bitterness is not overwhelming. Good enough for hopheads but accessible for others as well. I guess there is some balance here.

Mouthfeel is a bit lighter than many other good IPAs. Not a bad thing. Very drinkable. I'm sure its too high octane for a session beer but it goes down like one!!! Very nice.

On tap at the Brewhouse on 5.1.2012.

A - Served a cloudy light yellow with a smaller light tan-white head. Good retention and tons of solid lacing left on the glass.

S - lemons is all I got.

T - Also very lemony, but some hops poke through as well.

D - Good carbonation and a nice crisp body.

O - A solid citrusy ipa. Good beer in a good place.
