Pours a clear copper. Off-white foam, whick dissapates quickly, leaving a bit of lacing.

The smell is malty and bready with a hint of apricot. Smells more like a bitter than pale ale to me.

The taste continues the malty breadiness and throws in a little bit of grapefruit and minerals. The aftertaste is short, and slightly bitter.

Mouthfeel is light, with moderate carbonation. Very crushable!

Overall, an easy drinking ale, but nothing particularly special.

This is a true local initiative from Remmalöv! Made of local produced hops from Korngårdens Farm in Kornheddinge just outside Staffanstorp, Skåne.

Clear liquid, amber color. A two finger high, beige head that leaves lacing on the glass.

Nose: Caramel malt, ripe appples, apricot, whipped cream and grass.
Taste: Sweet malt, floral notes, a small amount of orange, biscuit and grass.
Mouthfeel: Pretty light and easy drinking. Light bitterness. Sweet and malty. Medium carbonation.

A great thing to brew a fresh hop ale from only Swedish grown hops! I'ts nice to see farmers starting to grow hops for beer here in Sweden again. Under 1600 and 1700 it was common to grow hops in Sweden. There was a law to grow hops! Sometimes I think it was better "in the old days"... :)

I hope this will spread and that we will have a lot more farmers here in Sweden that are willing to grow hops!

The colour is pale amber (12 EBC), the liquid is clear. The finger thick head is compact and yellowish; it sinks slowly into a thick lid leaving no lacing.

The smell is a bit frowsy with caramel, dried flowers and raw meats. Hints of red apples and apricots.

The taste is quite malty with notes of caramel and rye bread. Smooth light sweetness creates a backbone for floral earthy hops with some kiwis and peaches. Medium body. The aftertaste got hints of alcohol and minerals. Unclean earthy bitterness, some caramel, tree sap and fruit-flavoured candy. The finish got herbal/floral English-style hoppy flavours.

The carbonation is medium strong, the large bubbles long-lived. The liquid is semi-smooth.

I had a few beers brewed with Swedish hops some 10 years ago. They were quite earthy and dusty. This one is better, but it is still more “interesting” than “tasty”.
