An unusually well balanced strong lager. Golden coloured. Full bodied and very bitter. It quiet hard to find good strong lager and this was not promising much either. Small fizzy head, medium gold . Nicely aroma was better flowery-hoppy . Excellent drinkability , alcohol very well hidden , mild .

As one would expect from the standard Lager/Pilsner a transparent gold color with a massive white head that is also frothy in texture, as it slowly erodes the lace left behind forms a thin veil to cover the glass. Crisp somewhat sweet nose, lots of malt and the start sweet, malt laden with the top skinny in feel to the palate. Finish is briskly acidic, the hops apropos to the style and the aftertaste desert dry, drinkable, but still just a run of the mill lager.

Krolewski - Euro lager - 500 ml. glass

Poured lemon gold transulent color. Marginal white head faded immediately. Scents were strong... of honey, slight citrus. Tasted tamer than it smelt. Drinkability is good. Have had several different Euro Strong Lager's and although the abv is high at a 7.8%, there have better taster's tonight. Check my other reviews. BOSS BEER tonight, another Polish offering, was tastier in terms of honey scents. Decent beer. For $1.29, check it out!

Królewskie "Extra Beer", the green-labeled offering from this brewery, is a more higher octane offering than the regular red-labeled lager. My overall impression was that this beer was similar to the regular Królewskie, but this one was made simply to get you drunk quicker.

This beer pours a golden color with a finger of foam that disappears rather quickly. The aroma struck me as somewhat odd. It was somewhat sweet and musty, maybe even somewhat woody, but there was a certain quality in there that struck me as "menthol." The mouthfeel is thin and fizzy. As mentioned, it starts off tasting somewhat similar to the regular version, with some sweet malts/adjuncts and dry straw flavors, but the alcohol was definitely kicked up a notch and it shows. Some dry fruity/cardboard-like flavors become present too. It may be because of the alcohol, but the beer is sweeter than the red-labeled version and more "synthetic" tasting. There is a low-moderate dryness in the finish. The alcohol burn in the aftertaste carries some of that menthol quality to it, while the cheap grainy flavors linger on. The brew does happen to end with some warming sensation from the alcohol.

I can't say I enjoyed this beer too much. It was kind of different, but it seemed to me that it was a borderline malt liquor (although not quite as nasty). I'm glad that I gave it a try, but I probably won't be doing so again in the future.
