500 ml can, bought in Denmark. ABV was 4.1%. Golden colour, moderate head. Pleasant aroma with notes of flowers, honey and rhubarb. Flavour is clean tasting with moderate hops, not remarkable but drinkable.

Decent beer. Tastes like a Budweiser. Yellow-gold pour, little head. Corny, sweet aroma. Taste is a little bitter like one would expect, then a malty-sweet finish. I got this for $2.00 a six-pack. It was worth it, but I would not pay more. Sometimes I think that these low-level Czech beers are the same thing with a rotating name and label.

Picked up with a bunch of singles of German and Czech beers at the local hipermercado in South America. Blue 1/2 litre can. Canned on 02/03/07 to be consumed by 01/03/08. Characteristic pop sound on the opening. Smell is a dry sweetness. Poured into a pint glass with a nice head . Colour is a golden yellow. Taste is very dry almost flavorless at the start with a moderatley bitter finish. This is a classic pilsner. The carbonation is high, but I think this beer needs that to give it some kind of body. This is a very drinkable beer albeit not much flavor except the hopping. Who would have guessed, a Czech lawnmower beer! Well, I don't think I'll be mowing any lawns in Czechoslovakia anytime soon though.

Another pale light lager from the Czech Republic. Beers like this can entertain me on a hot summer day, but it's hard to get used to them - especially to the bottled ones. I believe that in the Czech countryside Vycepni Lezak (that's the name of the style) served on-tap is everybody's favourite. But mine was bottled.
So, typical pale color, very high level of carbonation, not much head, spritzy fresh start. Beer's a bit thin but well balanced, good companion to a hearty meal. Finish sour, tart, aftertaste soft & sweet. Not bad. Not much to remember, frankly.

Comes in a tall tapered neck brown half liter bottle with a green and gold label of nothing but words. Only "classic" is in English - the rest is Czech. Sugar is an ingredient. Best before 10/14/04, I opened it on 4/22/04.
Pours clear gold under a two finger white head that settles slowly, leaving some nice lace. The nose has a very nice balance of hop and malt. The mouth is light and prickly, as it should be for a pilsener. The opening taste is very malty, smooth and bready. This is followed by a solid Czech hoppy bite. The bitter aftertaste is mild, but sticks around, inviting another sip. This is a good standard pilsener, despite the sugar.
