A traditional Irish Stout, very dark and very drinkable.

Pour from a tap into a bomber and capped.

Poured an appropriate black, with little highlighting. I was warned that my sample was slightly undercarbonated, but with an agressive pour I managed to get a smallish, bone colored head.

Nose was of faint roasty notes and bittersweet chocolate.

Nice, medium bodied brew with a very clean roastiness and a other hints of chcolate, there's no lingering sweetness behind the roast, it's just a smooth clean roasted barley flavor with a bone-dry chocolate and charcoal finish with just a touch too much astringency. Just a touch.

Really a very nicely executed Irish Dry Stout. Not exactly my favorite style, but it does remind me of how insanely drinkable stouts of this style are. Not especially robust, but it's not really supposed to be. All in all, I like it.

On tap. Poured out a jet-black color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of flaked oats, toasted caramel and chocolate. Toasty and chocolatey with a mild bitterness.

Served on tap at the brewery. Pouts black as night with hues of brown around the edges and a small head. Nose is coffee, dark chocolates, an some grainy malts. Taste starts off with milk chocolate that moves to the grain malt flavors. A tough of dark chocolate and a good amount of coffee finish this off. Mouth is a little watery, yet full. Overall, this is a nice Irish dry stout. Recommended if you stop by the brewery for a drink.

A: was served a black color, with a 1 finger head that faded quickly with some lacing.

S: Roasted malt and hint of sweetness.

T: Roasted malt and dark chocolate with a bitter finish.

F: Medium body, with a creamy texture and went down smooth & easy.

D: Enjoyable brew but could have been a bit more robust. Good for a couple or just relaxing.

Pours a dark black color. 2/3 inch head of a pale tan color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells of roasted malt, toffee, sweet malt, hops, and slight grass. Fits the style of an Irish Dry Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and slightly thick with an average carbonation level. There is also noticeable bitterness. Tastes of roasted malt first and in the finish, sweet malt, slight hop background, and toffee (sweetness). Overall, not great, but a pretty good beer. Really drinkable stout.

It has a dark opaque body with a nice beige head and tight lace. It has a mild roasted smellbut not much else. The taste is of bitter chocolate and roasted malt but that is pretty mild. This is not a hoppy beer. Full bodied and not very carbonated. It is about a middle of the road stout.

Deep reddish brown, bordering on black, but not quite there. Lightly carbonated.

Roast over bready malt lead the way. A substantial quality espresso not comes out with time, as does a touch of mineral complexity. Very nice Irish stout nose!

Appropriately on the thin side of medium in the mouth. Well-balanced in the Irish style, and quite well mannered. Good malt base, with appropriate coffee and roasted barley notes. A fine stout for a session, although it could use a touch more bitterness to fully balance the residual sweet impression from the malt.

Thanks to winomark for the sample!

Jet black in color, small creamy light tan head, aroma of dark roasted coffee and malts. Medium body, nice creamy nitro mouthfeel. Cofffee and chocolate flavors, with a decent burnt bitterness in the finish, some what watery, easy to drink many in one sitting, even though it is very average for the style.
