In a snifter the beer was a slightly hazy orange.Small head, no lace.

Citrus and bread aroma.

A strong grapefruit taste, a little pine. Bready background.

Nicely hopped.

Had on tap at the brewery. Pours hazy, bright orange-gold in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is tangerine, pine, tea, and some soapiness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Bitter with a long bitter end. Not a bad double IPA but very much one I find to be in the middle of the pack. A pass for me although I am sure there are those who will enjoy this.

Hazy orange with 2 fingers of fluffy white head that sticks around for a while
Not much aroma, some sweet malt, light citrus and herbal hops.
Slighty skunky flavor. Some spice, a little tea leaf. Probably not the freshest bottle?
Very bitter. I guess that's where the "imperial" is coming from?
Might be better fresher, but I can't imagine the excessive bitterness wouldn't still be an issue.

On tap at Maine-ly Meat in Bar Harbor

This one pours a slightly hazy orange ish yellow, with a small head and a bit of lacing.

Smells like floral and perfumy hops, citrusy and fairly juicy hops, somewhat resinous pine hops, and a sturdy bready malt backbone.

This tastes like an average good IPA. It's got a nice balance between citrusy sweetness and resinous bitterness. It feels a little soapy and perfumey, which is a detriment for me.

This is medium bodied, slightly creamy and a little bit slick.

Not the best IPA I've had, but still enjoyable.

Beer is an appealing, slightly hazy amber/orange. Very thin head. Not a very powerful aroma. Some biscuit and bread, with some slightly lemony hops. Taste is similar to the nose. Malt with some lemon-grassy hops and bitter, bready finish. Mouthfeel is fine. It is nicely carbonated and pretty easy drinking.

Overall, not bad. I'm not sure how to describe the hop profile, but it's definitely a change from many of the hop-heavy IPAs I've been drinking of late. I like the bitterness. Not a top-flight IPA, but definitely tasty and drinkable.

Four pack purchased at the grocery in Bar Harbor, ME for ~$11. Pours a clear, light amber, with a finger of white head that dissipates and leaves nice lace. Aroma is malty, with minimal hop aroma. Taste is somewhat one dimensional, with a thick and bracing bitterness, and little to no hop flavor. Mouth is good. Overall, good, but this would be better if they backed off some on the bittering and used more late hopping to get some good hop flavor in there.
