Cozy place with a U shaped bar near the entry. To the right a mid sized dining area and also a nice covered outside dining and imbibing area with multiple tables.

Friendly service, TVs on with sports, friendly service, ample parking right outside.

Better then decent bar food and tasty beers of their own on tap, and some varieties available to go in cans…a tasty hot chicken Sammie and enjoyable hazy IPAs were consumed…..worthy spot for casual dining and real beers

Continuing my exploration of Michigan’s many, many microbreweries with a stop at Railtown for lunch and a pint. Fantastic service, with a real neighborhood feel. Bar food better than average, with solid beers.

Large building with plenty of parking. Good size bar with tables on both side of the bar. Over a dozen beers on tap. Good selection. A few singles and four packs to go. Friendly staff.

This won't be much of a review. I stopped by after work today after hearing many good comments from friends about Railtown. The 10 or so seats at the bar were full and approximately 6 other patrons were scattered throughout the rest of the room. Everyone in the taproom seemed to be having a nice time with friends or alone while enjoying their beer. I sat down at a table and patiently waited about 10 minutes.

Nothing. There were two people working and neither one of them looked my way or gave any indication that they would serve me. I was at a table in the middle of the taproom all by myself waiting for someone to look my way. They spent most of my time there talking with each other. When they were done, they served other people who just came through the door. I felt like the Very Unimportant Person in Ocean's 13. I got up and left. If you're going to be in the business of selling beer, you need to pay attention to the customers in your establishment. There are too many breweries making too many great beers for me to sit in a taproom ignored.

Nice open lit area with bar, and easy to read black board of beer selections behind the bar.
Staff is informative and friendly.
Local vibe, off the beaten path with is a good thing.
Peanut Butter Coco Time Imperial Porter was a gem. Stop by if your in the area like we did on our way to Traverse City. Parking is ample in it's strip mall location.

My wife and I stopped here to try the beers from this brewery, which has been open only several months. The place is located in the end unit of a small retail strip center in the middle of the downtown area of this small community. The interior has the typical bar with only 8-10 seats, and about 10 tables are spread around the rest of the place. A single TV was situated in a corner near the bar.

We chose a table and then ordered a sampler flight of 5 of their 10 available beers at the bar plus a bag of snacks. For a new brewery to have their beers dialed-in at this early stage of the brewery's existence like we discovered here is a plus for the brewer. We scored 3 of the beers high enough so that the fault that we found in one (some fusel alcohol in the imperial stout) was overcome by the good scores. Overall we rated the beers at a C- grade, but three were graded at a B or a B- level. The most notable was the Citra Warrior DIPA.

Beyond the packaged snacks there is no food here. They are food friendly, so bring something in or have it delivered. With the beers this good for being a new brewery, I expect great things from this place. We'll return again.
