Places like this are starting to become a dime a dozen in the pdx area. It's not a bad thing.

The growler run is located just off of hiway 213 in a moderately sized strip mall. The GR is modest sized as well, with a small bar area and maybe a dozen or so tables and chairs placed haphazardly throughout the room (which is narrow, but runs aways back). There's also a small patio area out front when the weather is nice (as it is today). Vibe is informal and relaxed, in a no frills kind of way. There are a couple of large flat screen TVs, and old rock songs piped in over the sound system. Definitely a relaxed vibe here.

So, that's all well and good, but what about the important considerations? Expect around 25 or so beers on tap, with various and sundry ciders and seltzers as well. The focus here is on local breweries, and on this day that included a number of breweries whose wares I don't see all that often in the pdx area (silver falls, Rachet, Binary brewing, etc.). It's still fresh hop season here in the NW, and the GR had a particularly good selection of fh IPA's and pale ales (close to 10 of them). Good enough that I was happy to make the 20 minute drive to get here from my home north of Lake Oswego. There's no crap on tap here, which I always appreciate.

Service is OK here. You order and pick up your beer at the bar. The bar tender is pleasant enough, and is happy to pour samples if you ask.

While I wouldn't normally recommend going out of one's way to stop by here, if you happen to be in the Oregon City area, this is a solid place to visit.
