Yikes. Scent of cabbage adjunct yikes. Taste was actually not too bad. Fairly bready with not too much else happening. Maybe a slight zing to the end with some hops. Well carbonated.

Somebody messed up a good beer. Something has changed with this beer over the years or my tastebuds are out of whack.

Moosehead Lager is one of my go to beers. The taste is pretty good and has some decent carbonation...which I like. I would just like to mention that this beer is highly prone to skunking as it comes in a green bottle. If cans of this were available in the states I would buy that instead.

Another very average lager from big Canadian breweries. Nothing spacial.
Probably better, than LaBatt, the same level, like Molson Canadian.

From notes taken 01/17/17:

Very clear straw pale gold, capped in mostly uniform just barely off-white frothy foam of decent retention. Grass, grain, slight rind and lemon, a little honey on the nose. These all dissipate quite a bit and a ready, almost yeasty quality comes forth. Grass, light bread, nearly cracker, and subdued honey and citric flavors to taste. Light-bodied, spritzy at first but approaches creamy by finish.
