Just about another Canadian lager by many respects. Though better than some American lagers you'll find in the stores, it is a pretty cost efficient way to get a decent lager at a decent price.

Overall it is very lightly colored, and the first few sips taste the creamiest and maltiest. It quickly loses its flavor as it warms up, but has a nice mouthfeel that is not overly carbonated like some other lagers. It is smooth, and very drinkable in multiple quantities.

I'd say that it is a middle-of-the-road, "go-to" beer if you are unsure at a bar.

This was a white elephant from my boss at Xmas. Part of a Cost Plus World Market Beers of the World

App- Lighter yellow with a medium lived, off white head that left a kind of fuzzy bubbly note.

Smell- A bit more lemon peel. A mis-mash that just kinda is there with off malt and some grain

Taste- I think I saved the worst for last. This one just wasn't very good. Damp, deep lemony malts with husky corn notes. Its like all these are out doing each other for worse flavors

Mouth- More medium/Medium. Residual malts and some dampness. Wasnt a fan of the aftertaste

Drink- Well my boss tried. I dont work with beer drinkers so I got stuck with this one. Wont be coming back to it.

A-Pours a clear yellow color. Super-clear. Bubbly head leaves lacing specks.

S-Malty and grainy. Very mellow. Not impressive but better than most of the Macro super-sellers. Bland and unoffensive.

T-More of the same. Watery lightly grainy and sweet. Corn water. Dare I say a hint of hop on the back end?

M-Light and sessionable. Carbonation is pretty noticeable. Watery but pretty drinkable.

O/D-Another lager that came at a good deal. A good beer for someone who's looking to get drunk and doesn't want to go down the Bud Light path.

I will have to say, Moosehead beer has always been one of my favorites. I usually drink dark beers, but Moosehead can hold it's own. Don't let its lite complexion detour you. Mooshead is full of flavor. It has the strong American Lager taste with a hint of a Philsner after taste. Very smooth with little bite. The Canadians did something right when the made this brew. Pour a little on you steak as you grill. The philsner taste will give your ribeye the extra edge you have been looking for. Either way, I always figured it was better to drink Moosehead, than it is to give it.
