Many thanks to jvgoor3786 for this beer.

A - Opaque dark golden orange color with frothy white lacing.

S - The nose is bursting with juicy tropical fruit aroma. Mango, nectarine, pineapple, citrus, and orange.

T - Mango, nectarine, pineapple, citrus, resiny lime, and orange.

M - Full, thick, and soft body with a very dry finish.

O - This is a rock solid IPA and worth checking out.

Pours a hazed amber with a finger of cream colored head. Decent head retention, average lacing
S: Mango & citrus

T: Follows the nose, tangerine, and mango with a little bready dryness up front. Orange & tangerine, plus a little dryness, a little cattyness as well as this warms. Finishes citrussy/juicy, with some woody hop bitterness and some dryness

MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, nice balance

Drinks super-easy, a well executed take on the style

Thanks goes out to russpowell for this brew.

12 oz. Can

My first from this brewery.

Poured into a tulip a pretty nice cloudy yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy two-finger off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, mango, apricot), nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, peach mango, apricot), nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew, surprised me. Orange Julius, Addictive! Milk Shake! Thanks Russ!

Found this little gem while mountain biking NW Arkansas.

Looks like an orange push-up. Hazy and impenetrable.

Tastes like fresh squeezed OJ with the pulp and all.

Light to medium in body and almost thick, but doesn't weigh you down.

A true winner and a great find that made finishing off a great day in the saddle even better.

Store clerks and forum members have been telling me about this beer for ages and after passing it up in Arkansas last year I had to get it this year.

I'm glad I did.

This can is dated 12/4/19, "Ekuanot", and pours an opaque amber gold with a tall fluffy head of 3 fingers. Leaves lots of lace behind as it recedes.

Aroma is sharp citrus potpourri and fresh cut pine; borders on perfumery but only slightly; fruit descriptors include pineapple, mango, starfruit, and bits of sweet lemon; also some doughy crackery malt behind that. Bright sliced tangerines on the back end.

The flavor on this beer is just outstanding. Freshly cut pineapple is the biggest descriptor here, followed by sweaty mango, with lots of heavy suggestions of pine water and peppery grapefruit, and a heavy presence of resinous hop oils coats and destroys the tongue at the finish leaving trails of piney grassy bitterness, sharp peppery citrus, eucalyptus, and lemon oil.

Feel is effervescent to start with a nice pop and high carbonation, but turns oily and coats the tongue with a wet blanket of hop resin.

Overall an incredibly crafted double IPA that beckons the attention of any hop head.

Trash Panda has a thin-to-medium, white head, a milky, peach-colored, Metamucil-like appearance, and moderate glass lacing. Aroma is of white bread and hop resin, and the flavor is the same, with much more piny hop bitterness, than I expected. Mouthfeel is high medium, and Trash Panda finishes medium dry.

Got in a BIF from jdell15. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 1/4/2018. Pours opaquely hazy deep orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 7.2%. Overall this is a fantastic NEIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt sweetness; extremely smooth and easy to drink from the very mildly bitter finish. Super juicy and lightly dank hops; perfectly balanced malts, without feeling overly sweet/heavy. Superbly executed for the style. Just the right level of balancing bitterness, and not overly drying on lingering hop oils. A highly enjoyable offering.

Great looking beer, one of the first takes on a New England style brewed here in Arkansas

L - Good haze, cloudy, very small white head and the tiniest bit of lacing

S - Boom orange juice, tropical fruit, citrus abound. Some herbal hop dankness in the background but the fruit is the star of the show, as is to be expected.

T - Lots of sweet orange/tangerine. Grapefruit, peach, bitter lemon, pineapple there too. But then wow here comes a wave of bitterness. Bitterness is too high to be what I thought to be a New England style IPA. But they're doing their own take so more power to them.

F - Good full body, pithy texture.

O - A very good beer. I possibly got caught up in the hype train with this one based on what others were saying about it, but I'll take home a growler and be happy with my purchase. We need more of this style around these parts, so here's to hoping they keep brewing it. Maybe experiment with some different hops for dry hopping and we see some cool variations on it.

This beer should come with the Heady Topper imperative: "DRINK FROM THE CAN!"
TP is one ugly brew when exposed to the light of the world in a tulip, but my-oh-my...it is TASTY! Good job, Lost Forty. Keep it coming! I hate to consign this fine brew to yard-beer status, but cracking one after 90 minutes of mowing in 98 degrees + humidity really hit the spot for me. I feel restored and replenished. Time to crush another.

On tap at the brewery.

One of the uglier beers I’ve ever seen. 3.75

A - Pours an ugly muddy opaque brownish yellow. Nice lacing, head disappears quickly, with a lasting ring around the glass. 3.25

S - Orange juice and citrus with that slight sweetness you get from OJ. 3.5

T - Citrus, orange juice. 3.75

MF - Medium body, maybe chalky, dry finish. Long lasting mild bitterness. 3.75

Rock solid ne ipa coming out of Arkansas. Super hazy with great lacing.

Taste is juicy, citrus , orange juice ( very similar to Julius)

Creamy mouthfeel that goes down very nice.

Overall- a great southwest version of a New England ipa. Did not expect this and pleasantly surprised

Poured from a growler. The beer pours a very hazy, deep orange juice-like color with a nice soapy, white head and decent lacing.

The smell is loaded with orange, grapefruit and other citrus. There is a little hop bitterness that punches at the end.

The taste is huge orange, lemon, and other citrus with some tropical coming through also. There is a nice lingering bitterness at the end, but it doesn't overwhelm.

The mouthfeel is low/medium carbonation with a nice thick feel.

Overall a really great effort from Lost Forty and very enjoyable.

Lost Forty Trash Panda, 7.2% ABV. Pours pale yellow with a half-finger of white head. Nose is grapefruit and pine. Taste is grapefruit, malt, slight hops, slight bitter close. Excellent mouthfeel. Overall outstanding. I am not generally an IPA fan due to the typical one-note hoppy bitterness, but this damn good, an IPA for non-IPA-fans.

Pours an opaque, turbid orange with a finger of white foam. Head retention is great. Aroma is jaw dropping peach, tropicana, papaya, and orange. Flavor profile is dripping with notes of peach, papaya, mango, and orange. Doughy biscuit malt adds a little extra dimension to it, but otherwise it's centered on tropical fruits. Mouth feel is medium in thickness, with an otherwise semi-fizzy, velvety texture. Overall, huge citrus notes have this drinking splendidly smooth, but it is one-dimensional. An important note for those seeking depth or diversity in their beer.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz can. Purchased fresh a month ago, and reviewed after 30 days in the fridge. It really has made the citrus pop much more than drinking it fresh.
