If you take the most popular adjunct lagers and refine them, you might come out with something like this. Someone said it tastes like bud light, I dont think so. It is definitly a bit on the light side but not to that extent. Very clean, crisp and enjoyable to drink. Id keep this in my fridge at all time were it not for the price. Cost me near $18 per 12 pack after tax. Can get 24 packs of other stuff for less or an 18 pack of Heinnies for 2 bucks more. But its definitely a decent brew and worth trying.

Tastes just like bud light. That’s good if you like bud light, but if you were looking for a craft lager look elsewhere. Distinct adjunct flavor and nary a hop to be found. Pass. I will say that the general sweetness of this beer goes well with spicy food, but so does bud light for much less.

12oz can, Julian date stamped 18 325. Pale golden beer is capped with a creamy white head. Lemongrass and crackery pale malt for aroma. Modest flavors with more lemongrass, spicy & earthy hops, biscuity grain that is very slightly nutty. Light bodied, creamy & smooth, ample carbonation, modest bitterness, and a semi-dry finish. I've never heard of House Beer, but grabbed it on a whim while visiting family in California. It's very easy to drink with some good flavors. I could easily drink a few of these while relaxing at the pool or beach. It might not be the "perfect beer" but it's good.

Called, simply enough, House Beer. Poured this into my vintage PBR goblet because why not. Looks the color of thin, fizzy, yellow beer. Smells of grain, with a splash of boiled corn water for gold measure. Light, crisp, thin, just the sort of thing to drink without thinking about. Know what? I'd probably drink it again.

Fantastic beer! If you're like me and love adjunct lagers but want something ever so slightly more complex then this beer is perfect for you. You can tell that this is a craft beer, but is very reminiscent of an adjunct. It has some bite and fruit flavors from the hops, but it's well balanced and the flavor subsides rather quickly making it a great session!

I have no idea why this was entered as a Euro lager. Its an American Lager through and through (California?). Quite tasty for an easy drinking low ABV lager though. Recommend if the price is cheap.

A: Pours a crystal clear pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense sudsy foamy bright white head that reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Just shy of moderate aromas of grainy + cracker malts with minimal amounts of sweetness and light aromas of grassy hops.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of grainy + cracker malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of grassy hops which imparts a light amount of bitterness which lingers for a moderate amount of time leaving a clean finish.
M: Light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp with a relatively clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and refreshing. A nice example of a craft version of the marco American Pale Lager. Enjoyable and sessionable.

I tried this beer at the Beer Hunter in La Quinta, CA. It poured a clear golden with white head that did not leave any lace. The scent had touches of grain. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its an easy drinking sessionable beach/lawn mower beer.

Out of the can, into a shaker pint glass. Clear yellow body, straw coloured with one finger white head, good retention. Smell is basic pilsner yeast with a bit of grainy cracker, light straw. That's pretty much it. A bit of sweetness also shows up on the palate. Clean, boring, but straightforward. Good carbonation, drinkable and that is all she wrote.

Good American Pale Lager. Pour straw to light gold with a moderate white head. Touch of green apple in the aroma, otherwise you get clean rice and malt. Like a more interesting version of B---. Crispy crackery malt flavor that dries out well. Mouthfeel is crisp and dry withe a lively carbonation. If you want an American Pale Lager, this beer will do fine. It's a step up from the big boys.

Clean, Light, Refreshing, Easy
From the can this lager pours a bright, lively, pale golden with a frothy white head. A clean, crackery malt aroma mixes with a light herbal spiciness and lemon. Light bodied and very creamy. More crackery malts with some light breadiness and a semi-sweet cooked corn note emerge with each sip. A soft bite of citrus rind and a pithy, dry finish provide some interest and balance. House Beer is basically a "craft" version of what we call premium macro lager today, but with generic hipster-style branding and a bit more character. It's a light, refreshing, easy drinking, no thinking, beer.
As reviewed in BeerAdvocate magazine #118 (November 2016).

Craft retro lager?
Sign me up.
Some sort of Julian code thingie stamped on the bottom of the can. 16/055. May 5th, 2016?
A: Pales straw. Fizzy. BIg bubbles race to the surface to form the white out head. Fairly rapid dissipation. Moderate stickiness on the lacing.
S: Crackery. Slighly herbal and lemon. No where near what a German pilsner is.
T: Not much in the hop presence, but IT IS THERE. Green grape, green tea, slight lemon note. Malt is a little bit fuller in the mouth than say, Budweiser (so are the hops, I guess). Maltiness is crackery in the beginning and "softens" more into a slightly sweat bready flavor. Never evolves fully to the milled graininess I get in a lot of these craft lagers.
M: Light, effervescent. Despite the way it looks in a glass, nowhere near as seltzer like as the BMC. Rounder in the mouth, as well. This was in surprisingly soft on the back end.
O: Not bad at all. I'd take this over BMC any day. It blazes no new trails in beer, instead harkening back to something my grandfather may have drank. Loving the lack of corn flakes or rice. Would buy again.

12oz cans purchased from local liquor store. $13.99/12pk. Poured into a pint glass. Very good clarity, rich straw color, and clean white head with nice carbonation. I had this beer a couple months ago and their process/recipe has definitely been improved. Aroma is of fresh bready grains and sweet corn. Flavor is similar but has a nice hop spiciness to it. Bitterness is more than the macros but less than some west coast session lagers that are out there. Pretty easy drinking beer. Previous experience with this beer had traces of diacetyl (buttery, butterscotch). This one was much, much cleaner. I would definitely order a few of these. Great price too!
