12 oz can poured into Willybecher glass no canned on date.

A: Very little to no head. Body is a rich amber bordering on caramel that is very murky.

S: Lots of pineapple, cantaloupe, and malts, very deep biscuit breadiness intermingled with some floral hops.

T: Sweet, Bready, Resiny, pineapply(so not a word) and smooth.

M: Heavy, lowish carbonation gives way to a smooth body but a little cloying body.

O: Can not put my finger on what it is about this beer, but it is delicious. Just has a tantalizing taste maybe its the crazy good balance because the beer is super heavy for an IPA, yet highly drinkable. If this is what rice does to an IPA count me in holy shit.

12 FL. OZ. can
Served in a tulip glass

This beer pours a hazy amber color with burnt orange highlights. It has an inch of off white head that leaves some decent lacing.

The smell is a lot maltier than I expected. I get some light citrus as well.

The taste is a balance of malt and citrus. It starts out malty with caramel malt and finishes citrusy with an orange juice.

Medium mouthfeel

At first I thought it tasted more like an average pale ale. The orange juice flavor builds the more I drink making it better the more I drink. I have been a fan of Nowhere in Particular's beers that I have tried. I was not digging this one at first, but it is solid. I like Batch #001 better but would like to try this on tap as I have most of the others.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy glowing burnt orange with a small off-white head that fades leaving solid retention and lacing. The aromas are pretty malty with tons of citrus. Lots of orange. Some fresh bread, dough and cracker in the mix. Caramel is present as well. The flavors are bittersweet. Strong caramel malt backbone. Lots of honey. Lots of orange and pine. There's a subtle warmth, but the alcohol goes completely unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and thin with low carbonation. It's easy to drink.

I guess I'm personally not crazy about this example of the style, but it's not bad. I'm sure this will be enjoyable to others. This is my first brew from Nowhere In Particular, so I can't compare this to Batch #001.

Pours clear initially, cloudy on the second pour. Aroma of sweet malts and alcohol. The flavor lies somewhere between barleywine and wheatwine territory with a massive sweetness. There is a strong candied orange cloying sweetness and alcohol. Imperial rice IPA? How about "no". This is a big sweet mess. No freshness date, old?

Reminiscent of Great Lakes Chillwave, maybe Bells Hopslam. The honey malts definitely bring a unique sweetness to this IPA. First brew from Nowhere in Particular, hope to try more from these guys.

Bought after a day of disc golfing. Driving down a familiar stretch and stopped at a gas mart.

Better beer selection than my past memory servs me. Looked, stumbled upon this one. I guess local yet far away contract brew. Cashier asked witch batch and said yeah this is the good 'one'. , while I looked at some discs.

Paid cash. Cracked open just before getting home. Good. Rice brew? Tell me more. A strong ipa. But drinkable for strong ipa's..a solid 4/5,

What an uneven review. But this brew has so much going on, but the finish is very boozy, which can be so distracting. I guess it's just too good.

It even looks creamy. The aroma is thick and malty like the huge tangy bitter malty taste. It hits the tongue huge. Malty and very boozy feeling.

This is highly recommended. I never hear of this brewer before Friday, but I will seek this out while it is fresh.

Canning label info: Brewed and bottled for Nowhere In Particular by Fort Collins Brewery (Colorado)

The body appears apricot colored, slightly hazy, and topped with a dense, creamy head. Sweet, caramel-like aroma; slight suggestion of orange or other citrus fruit; hoppy. Rich, bready flavor; hints of caramel and honey; mild sensation of bitterness and booze far back into the finish. Medium-heavy body; velvety on the palate.

A rather different DIPA that seems rough around the edges at first but does grow on you as you settle into it.

Aroma is very sweet, caramelly malt dominant, with notes of sticky papaya, mango, and a touch of muddled citrus adding contrast.

Flavor is very sweet initially, as well. Pineapple dominates early, with muted tangerine taking over and carrying into a fairly bitter, resiny finish. Strong toasted malt notes support throughout.

On the sweet side, fruit is muted, but I like it.

Pours a burnt orange with minimal lacing .

Smell is tropical , citrus , honey

Taste follows the nose with tropical fruits , citrus and honey notes , slightly malty but seems to work with the hops and honey and seems to keep the Dipa pretty balanced ..

Overall : I enjoyed this a lot. Great tropical orange citrus with a dry finish which I assume comes from the use of rice in the beer.

Well done ..
