I liked the sound of this brew. Especially for the warmer weather. And a fan of this brewery’s work. Mango milkshake was killer. But this is average. Nose and flavor is quite muted. Has the hop bite and bitterness for being an IPA but I wouldn’t really call this an IPA exactly. Color is spot on and it’s refreshing. Hard to pick up the fruits in this. Not sure what comes across, maybe very muted fruity pebbles? It’s a clean ale, just not very strong in the flavors.

Thanks Alana and Richard!

A: Pours a rose color, but is pale reddish brown in color, with a light pink tan head.

S: Earthy and dank hops with perhaps a touch of garlic. Not a lot form the raspberries, but definite hops.

T: Dank earthy hops, with a tart hit form raspberries, and a bit of that garlic like flavor in the finish. A touch funky.

M: Medium light in body, with fairly high carbonation, and a dry finish.

O: Overall not bad, but certainly funky. Not sure if this particular hop agrees with the raspberry.

12 fl. oz. can
Served in an IPA glass

The beer looks like iced tea when it is poured. It is brown with burnt orange and ruddy highlights. It has a haze to it. It is topped with three inches of loose tan head that leaves spotty lacing.

The aroma is raspberry and lemon tea.

The taste is very tea-like. The lemon works well with the hop selection. The raspberry is not in your face and works great with the other flavors.

Medium mouthfeel

In case you couldn't tell this beer reminded me a lot of iced tea. It was not bitter at all, and I quite enjoyed it. It was a unique tasting experience.

This beer was a miss for this brewery. Average at best.

Pours hazy reddish brown. Foamy, medium off white head lasts a while.

Tastes light Berry, herbal, citrus peel, light lemon, bready malt and light earthy. Finishes semi dry with a citrus peel and light Berry linger. Medium body and creamy lower carbonation.

A - Pours a hazy reddish brown with a large off white head. The head leaves a good amount of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is light red raspberries, black tea and light piney hops.

T - The taste is bitter piney hops, lemon peel, black tea and light raspberry.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Soft mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.

O - This is an alright fruited IPA. The fruits are very muted with the hops being more aggressive.

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but it a recent release. Pours slightly hazy reddish orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart red raspberries, lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, passion fruit, currant, red grape, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, raspberries, lemons, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart red raspberries, lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, passion fruit, currant, red grape, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy red raspberries, lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, passion fruit, currant, red grape, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, raspberries, lemons, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy/acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent fruited IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, raspberries, lemons, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, with the modestly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. This uses Enigma hops to enhance the berry/dark fruit character. Great balance of juicy/dank hops, raspberries, and lemons; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable, unique, and well made offering.
