Microbrasserie Le Malbord

Great location overlooking the water. Good food, a wide selection of beers (mostly but not all theirs) friendly and efficient service.

 

Charming place, urban and modern style, lots of recycled materials like refrigerator doors for exterior tables and beer canisters for lighting. Incredible direct view of the sea, for a bar you will not find a better view elsewhere in Gaspésie, it's very calming. 5 regular beers on tap, a couple of exterior brews, but no seasonal selection. The quality is average on tap, but if you drink what they brew in cans it's way better. For example I really enjoyed La Collin from a can, but not so much on tap. So I blame the tap system for not properly representing their beers. The service was fine at a table, but they are shy to boost their beers. Welcoming but not really beer oriented. We came back at the bar later and the service was weak. Not very friendly nor passionate. The food was decent with lots of beer oriented stuff.
